Toddler attitude.

Not much to say today. It wasn’t hot! Which was awesome. It was humid, which is not awesome, but whatever.

Whenever I have some non-mum time coming up, the closer it gets the more I need it RIGHT NOW. So, because tomorrow is date night, I’m getting really… needing a break. I had a nice little half an hour this afternoon while Jake and Ash went for a walk (well, Ash was in the stroller, so she strolled). I walked to the post office with them, then brought all the mail back and went through it. I had ordered some photos of the moosh so got to look at those. We had a new Entertainment Weekly (I keep wondering when that is going away, or if our mysterious magazine benefactor renewed our subscription. Seriously, who paid for us to get this magazine? I’d thank them if I knew, it’s nice having mindless drivel to read) so I read that while drinking an iced coffee. Absolutely perfect.

One of Ashley’s new things to do involves a nail-hole in the wall that is just her height. It’s in the doorframe leading to the kitchen. She’ll go up to it, poke it, laugh, squeal, and walk backwards until she is about 6 steps away, then run to it and start all over. She will not do this when I have the camera though. It distracts her and she just wants the camera. It is so weird to be doing something elsewhere and hear the laughter and squealing coming from previous silence. Odd girl.
