Tired and grumpy

Early this morning, I called the mechanic down the street and a guy came over to start my car. He said he’d be here in 5 minutes so Dad went to get changed out of his pjs, and by the time he joined Ash and I outside, the guy was done. The car started quick and easy, although it did do the same ‘no lights on the dashboard’ thing the first time (it is always good when problems still exist when a professional looks at them). We were going to drive down the street to Pete’s (the name of the mechanic place) to get them to fiddle around and find the problem, because the first guy thought it was probably the ignition switch. Once we got there, I turned off the car and tried to turn it back on. It did, all 3 times I tried. So we left and came home the scenic way in case it was the battery and it needed a bit of charging.

The car worked when I had to take Dad to where the shuttle was picking him up, so that’s good. Fingers and everything crossed it was the battery and all is well now.

Ugh, it always sucks saying goodbye to my family. I’ve been crying on and off since midday when we dropped Dad off, most of the time just because I’m sitting on the couch and we spent a lot of the 2 weeks just sitting next to each other on the couch.

Ash fell asleep on me 10 minutes before we had to take Dad so he could leave us. Poor baby hated that I had to wake her up. She didn’t go back to sleep until almost 4:30, and her total nap time for the day was 30 minutes. She was absolutely CRASHING by bedtime. Instead of a small no causing her to look sad for a little bit, she went full on throw-the-body-down crying. Poor thing has had a rough nap-week.

My eyes hurt and I’m exhausted from having to be awake for half an hour at 5am (silly baby!) but I don’t want to go to bed.

*HUGS* Hope all is well with the car now, and that you and Ash both get some good sleeps.

Is it not turning over at all when you try sometimes?

I hope you get some decent sleep once you are back in your routine. *giant hugs*
