Fresh refillment with coconut.

I’m exhausted, but I want to write. I feel like my brain is full so I need to empty it a bit so I have room to make dreams.

From the moment Jake got home yesterday, I was zooming around getting stuff done. I had a very lazy day with Ashley (didn’t even do dishes) so I had to make up for that. Plus I had to get organised so we could go off and do errands first thing this morning. Gathered laundry, did dishes, cooked dinner, wrote a 2 week meal list and a grocery list, and I’m sure there was more. It took me right up to bedtime, so I didn’t get any unwinding time.

Lately one of Ashley’s favourite things to do is lay next to me in bed and be silly. Or she’ll just smile at me and say hi a lot. It is the greatest. Yesterday we pretended she was really strong and she’d pull me into a seated position and then push me back down. Over and over. It was a good ab workout. It also gave me a headache from throwing my head around comically. She loved it so it was worth it.

This morning we all woke up at 8 (Ash sleeps in on weekends!) and hen quickly got dressed and went to the laundromat. We timed ourselves perfectly, there was barely anyone. By the time we were done, people were lining up waiting for dryers to be available. Ash was so calm and happy the whole time, which made it easy. We are all learning how to work together. After laundry, we bought a buttload of stuff at Costco, then a bigger buttload of stuff at Stop & Shop. Ash still was awesome! Wow! We got home and she ‘helped’ me put things away while Jake did many many trips up and down the stairs bringing everything inside. It feels so good to have our stash cupboard full again, and all our clothes washed. Plus Ash’s new clothes are washed so she can wear them!

I made honey joys this afternoon, but they had to be thrown out. Most burned a bit, but they were edible… except that the baking cups sort of cooked into the base of them rendering them inedible. Sads. I’ll try again tomorrow, we had them the day she wad born so they make sense at a birthday party. After a 2hr nap, dinner, and skype with my dad, I made a cake. She’s getting a giant 1 made out of lamingtons. Hope it works out!

Tomorrow afternoon is Ashley’s birthday party with family. That should be fun! Must remember to clean her high chair.
