SNOW RULES!

Dude. We got almost 2 feet of snow in 24 hours. The car had more than a foot of snow on top, and that is with the strong winds (that are still gusting every so often). We lost power for a bit over an hour around lunch time, but other than that we’re doing great.

I went out this morning at about 8am. Had to push the door open there was snow blocking it. The stairs were completely covered. Snow up to my knees. I ran around the backyard (trudged… but I like trudging through snow), crossed the parking lot to take pictures of the car and the plowed mountains of snow. Made a snow angel. I got tired and headed in but realised I didn’t get a picture of the front of the restaurant so I trudged around to get the pictures. That part was a bad idea because I was already exhausted and hadn’t eaten anything yet. I barely made it inside I was so exhausted.

After lunch I went out to clear off the car. While I was doing that a car full of guys drove into the parking lot. Then another car, that parked 2 spots down from me. The guy asked if I had a shovel and when I said where it was he got it and started digging my car out while his girlfriend helped me get the snow off the top. Meanwhile the guys in the other car came by and saw I had help now but isn’t that awesome that 2 lots of people wanted to help me? Score. What a nice town.

I really want to go play in the snow, but I don’t have anyone to play with. Jake has to watch the baby. I want to climb on the table and dive backwards to make a snow angel. I want to climb the massive plow-made snow mountains. I want to slide down our big set of outside stairs. Maybe I’ll be sensible and just clear our steps of snow. Why do I have to be getting old and sensible? Why is Ashley too young to come play? Stupid snow being almost as high as her. Yeah, I’ll clean the stairs. And then gallop around a bit…
