Random update

Ugh, I was told tonight of a huge amount of snow predicted for Friday. So Ashley and I need to grocery shop tomorrow, which means I have to write the meal list and the grocery list and make sure to take our coupons… I hope it isn’t crazy. We have to swing by Kmart too because we have a coupon that will mean more than 50% off a box of diapers, and that expires Sunday. (Coupon is $10 off a $10 or more purchase. Diapers on Saturday were $17.)

It’s really crazy to me that this time last year I was massively pregnant and too scared to go anywhere alone in case Ash decided she wanted out. It is hard for me to believe that it is almost a year since I was pregnant. I miss it, quite a bit. It is harder to believe that in 6 days, Ashley will be 1! She is so awesome. We are going shoe shopping with her grandparents next Wednesday, so her actual birthday it will just be me and her, hanging out. We still don’t have her present, I was going to get it this weekend but that won’t be happening. I know she won’t know the gift is late, but I will. I’m thinking I should get a pack of balloons and blow a few up for fun play. That plus cards and other random things in a box, what more does a one year old need?

I think I’ll do a DITL on Ashley’s birthday.

Today, Lisa came over so I got a few things done. Nothing huge, and not everything on my list, but some things. I finished writing next to the photos in the 2012 photo album. Have to get a new one for this year. That is my christmas present from Jake.

Lately when we don’t have meals for Ash to share, she gets some steamed mixed veggie pieces. Carrots, corn, peas, lima beans and green beans. She doesn’t like the green beans but she gobbles up the rest, and then her dessert of cheerios. She loves anything with rice. She ate so much thai green curry when we made that last week. It was pretty spicy so I was impressed. She’s a pro at walking. She is expanding her dance skills – today she would put a hand on her hips and move them side to side. So adorable.

I’ve almost finished writing my 101 in 1001 list. I need 2 or 3 more things. I’ll come up with something eventually.
