Potentially last for the year
We are headed to Adelaide, in the next state over, tomorrow. Get back on the 30th, I think. Like it is every time we go there, we will have no internet. Which is really quite difficult these days. Hopefully Ashley will make the down times not too boring.
This morning we went to get the photos we ‘dropped off’ yesterday. There are a lot of them. Oops. But it is hard to get 10 months of photos and not end up with over 100. Pretty sure every single one has been in this diary at some point during that time. They are all the best ones, with Ash doing things or us looking extra cute or whatever. We checked Coles and Aldi for pull-on diapers (which would be so handy for travelling, but alas) and when we came out of Aldi we glanced right and HOLY SHIT there were these terrifying metal statues! Turns out it was a metal art display, and they were kinda cool up close, but seriously… weird. There were 2 tables, one of them had a metal Alien under it, the other was a robot-type thing staring up at the table… creepy. Natey took some pictures. I had thought about taking my camera but I figured it was a quick trip to the shops, what would be there that I would need to take pictures of?
Came home, Skyped with Lisa, and the rest of the day has been a relaxing blur. Somehow noone had lunch so we had dinner at 5 (which was fine with us, that’s kind of normal, but these people eat an hour or so later). Pizza!
Mum is packing right now. I think I have packed everything, except for bathroom related items because I have to shower in the morning. It was easy for me to pack, very easy when you only have a few things to only pack a few things. Nanna washes clothes by hand, so Mum is packing towels and sheets and stuff for us so we can just bring them home so Nanna doesn’t have to worry about all that extra laundry. She has to pack milk and cereal and milo and all kinds of edible goodies too. Plus because Yvonne (mum’s sister)’s man is kinda on death’s door, she has to pack clothes suitable for a funeral as well… poor Mum, so much to do. I installed the car seat in her car today, and the stroller is in there too… I think I have done everything I can.
We have to get up at something stupid like 7am tomorrow so we can leave at 8. I have to eat breakfast and shower before we go. Hopefully Jake will be super-lovely and watch Ashley while I do that because Mum will be too busy and Ash still doesn’t like Dad too much. Although if she has to ‘suffer’ with him so I can get things done then that will happen.
Monday we have plans to meet up with OD’s own littleredheart and her boyfriend. Rather looking forward to that.
Tuesday is Christmas lunch with Nanna and Mum and Jake and Ash and maybe Mum’s cousin Mary. The boys (Dad, Matty and Natey) fly over on Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday there is Christmas lunch with Yvonne and all that. I never know exactly who is going to be at that gathering, but us, Nanna, and them.
Thursday is a meet up with Aunty Christine (one of Dad’s sisters) and Amy (my cousin) and Amy’s little girl, Charlotte.
Must stop writing and sleep. Not that I have anything else to say really, I think I just have random ramble left.
Merry christmas and all that.
Have a good time in Radelaide! I hope the non-internet times aren’t too horribly dull for you. Pass a gigantic squishy flamboyant hug on to Amanda for me!

LOL at the statues! Rowan’s rather taken by them at the moment and likes to go look every time we go over to the fruit shop! Also, 100 prints for 10 months is showing restraint to be honest! 😉 Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Merry Christmas in advance, Sezness. I’m sure everyone will be delighted to see Ashley’s adorableness in Adelaide. We are currently looking after a giant cat called Frank for about a week. And on Saturday I’m going ice skating for the first time and hopefully don’t hurt myself. Then Monday and Tuesday are Christmas things, and Wednesday we go to Portland and Seattle for a week. *nods*
