Donuts and pudding!
If you watch The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, just say my title the way he and Geoff say "here come the players!" and you will pretty much be in my head.
My phone, wonderful little invention that it is, has a ‘quiet time’ setting, so between 8pm and 9am it is on silent. It is wonderful because I often forgot to set my old phone to silent overnight. Anyway, my point is, this morning when Jake took Ashley so I could sleep a little more, I noticed that we had a missed call from the restaurant. I didn’t call them back because I wanted sleep and also had to work out if we could have Jake work today or if I needed him. When I ‘woke’ half an hour later, there was another missed call, so I figured they needed him badly so he went to work, and snuffly and sick, poor man.
Ashley and I did pretty much NOTHING all day. She played in the window a lot, watching the traffic (there was lots of traffic today! I don’t know what was going on. There was also a santa up the street waving at the cars, but I think these things were unrelated). She got at least 4 outfits over the course of the day, because everything was too small! Which is kind of good, all her Australia clothes are current size now, rather than next size up.
We went to the restaurant for a bit, just so the weekend workers (Kerry, Mel, Laurie) could say goodbye to Ash. The rest, we’ll see them on Tuesday before we head off. We won’t have anything lunchable so will be eating there. After many hugs, we went to the store to get yogurt. It never got above freezing today, so that walk was enough of Ash being outside. If Jake had stayed home I would have also gone to the bank and the post office, but not when I would have to subject a bub to that weather.
Ashley and I shared my raspberry yogurt. She was so adorable, she’d scrunch up her face like it was giving her brain-freeze, because she isn’t used to cold food. But then she would DIVE at the spoon for more. So very cute. When she had had enough, she climbed off my lap and wiped her face on my shirt.
After a nap, Kerry came up to play with Ash a bit more, because those two just love each other so much.
I wanted donuts and/or pudding for dessert tonight, so Jake convinced me to go buy some eclairs that I had seen at the store earlier in the day. Now I want to try a proper one. I’ve never had an eclair before, because I’d always been told it was cream inside (rather than pastry cream which is like vanilla pudding/yogo) and I can’t eat cream.
3 days. How in the world is it only 3 days to go?
When I was young you could get an eclair with custard instead of cream, or even better, both! ummm, in my case that is. The world is ending in 3 days???

I’ve never had an eclair I liked. The “right” way to make them when people seem to think they are SO AMAZING… they taste stale. What is the point of that? So I don’t like them.

I haven’t seen Craig in a long time, since they moved the timeslot an hour later here… I also believed eclairs generally had cream – either jam and cream or custard/pastry cream and cream… We just went to Noble House for yum cha with Stu and Tess and Isaac. Isaac was/is adorable 😀 See you in four days! *huggles*

Matthew recorded Craig yesterday so he was watching it this morning. Or was that yesterday? We still haven’t updated our tv so we don’t get that channel. See you in four days!!!

You should make your own eclairs – just profiteroles mix then you can fill gym with custard or anything you like !! How long until Australia now?
