Food Cow *tiny baby edit
Every night before bed, I have a milo (a yummy chocolatey milk beverage) so I don’t wake up in the middle of the night starving hungry. Sometimes I’ll have a hot chocolate, or if I’m out of milo I’ll use chocolate syrup, but those aren’t anywhere near as filling.
Tonight, I have no milo powder. I have no chocolate syrup. I would have had a hot chocolate, but we have NO MILK. We have no bread, so I can’t have a slice of something with nutella or something. We have no snacks in the house… although I just realised we have chicken cooked in nando sauce in the fridge, so I guess that is my dessert. It is either that, or wake up starving hungry. Breastfeeding really makes you hungry.
This morning, I taught Ashley to clap. She claps 3 times in a row. It is so cute, especially when she does it while crying. To her, clapping means ANYTHING. She clapped because she wanted cuddles, because she pooped her pants, because I dared lay her on the change table, because she wanted to play horsey again, because I said "yay!!"
We had lunch with Jake today. Cheeseburger with an egg on top, mmm. Everyone marvelled at the cuteness of Ashley eating her rice cake lunch. After feed, Kerry carried Ash around, showing her off to all the customers. She tried to hand the baby back to me 4 times, and each time Ashley just about fell out of my arms reaching for Kerry. She loves her. I think a part of it is that she has the same platinum blonde that Grandma Lisa has. The other part is just that Kerry is awesome. Ash and Kerry went to the store to show her off there, so I sat in the backyard in the sun and did nothing. Nothing!! It was only for a few minutes but it was lovely.
This afternoon, I taught Ashley how to climb down from the couch. She hasn’t perfected it yet, but once I roll her onto her tummy she knows how to scoot down until her feet touch the ground, and then she looks SO PROUD. It is adorable.
I did end up buying Ash some baby legs last night. There were all these new styles just for black friday and AWWW! It was good that I stayed up an extra half hour to buy those, because I had a short chat with my Ellen on the book of face, which then led to me messaging 2 other people so I could get a recipe for a cheesey chicken dip (it has salad dressing in it and I don’t know how I feel about that…) and asking Jenn about the party we’re having at her place (L – it’s at 2pm. And she doesn’t care what food we bring, as long as it is something we will eat.)
OH! I finally uploaded a wad of videos I have been trying to upload since Tuesday. Photobucket is a poo-pants sometimes. This one is from last night. She is such a sillyhead.
*I don’t think I ever shared this video with you guys. Less than 2 hours old Ashley!
I love baby clapping! Violet does it for every reason too. We were soooo close to waving, but she switched to clapping as a way of saying hello and goodbye. Ah well! Hope you are able to be satisfied by your before bed snack!

I wonder if the camera is as tasty as Ashley thinks it must be.

I have loads of milo here. I could have sent some if you had said earlier and I would still have had some for you to take home. It’s probably a bit late now. Chicken in nando sauce sounds like a delicious dessert.

Ahh, Ashley is such a cutie. You know this already, of course… NoNoMo update: I missed yesterday because I was out doing things! First I did exercise things with mum, which made me spew, then I went to see the new James Bond movie with Ian and had Nando’s lunch, then I went to Matty’s house and ate pizza dinner and watched wrestling *nods*

Oh also, I can totally handle producing some kind of edible food to bring 🙂

Ha! I love how babies do random things for no reason or the wrong reason. Rhea says, “Bless you!” randomly, but it’s more often in context now than out of context, like it used to be. Babies are so exciting! Newborn Ashley makes me want a newborn again. Except I like sleep. Must figure out which is more important. ~jo
