Time isn’t flying enough yet

I remember when we got this play table for Ashley (bought with swear money!) and Ashley couldn’t reach the ground, not even her toes, on the lowest setting. And now she can stand next to and it is a comfortable height when at its highest setting. Yikes.
 
Lisa and Matt came over today, so Ashley got a good grandparent fix. I was going to go do laundry, but after 2 nights of not great sleep, I didn’t want to drive/couldn’t be bothered. (Last night, Ash slept next to me the whole time, couldn’t leave my side for a second. BUT she slept for hours at a time before needing food or to comfort-suck or whatever, so it was better than the previous night!) So instead I cleaned the apartment.
 

I forgot Ashley’s towel yesterday, so she got wrapped in a dish towel after her bath. It fit so perfectly like a little towel dress. This picture really does not convey how absolutely adorable it was.

I dusted the whole apartment (I forget to dust usually), swept, tidied… I didn’t mop the kitchen (still haven’t mopped after thanksgiving… ugh) but I got so much else done. I actually tidied the back room!! Swept it too! Because that is where the shoes live, it was SO FULL OF DIRT. I had to do 2 trips to take it all outside in the dustpan. Ew. We have had a pack & play back there for ages, we have no use for it here. Thankfully Matt and Lisa took it home with them, so now there will be a place for Ashley to sleep/nap when we go visit. Assuming it doesn’t still stick of cigarette smoke (seriously. Who gifts a baby a second hand thing that is used as a bed that reeks of smoke?!). It looks so nice back there, and it will be nice to be able to walk around back there without having to slip on some sandals or something first.

Some days, the only way I can get something done with a fussy babe is to be creative. Easiest way to make a sandwich is to put her in the sink.
 
I obviously also uploaded photos, finally. Still have to get some off my phone. And name/upload the pics from my old phone. One day, maybe.

Ash ate some of Lisa’s yogurt today. It was one of those weird artificially flavoured, aritficially sweetened things, which I would never eat, but I guess I can’t keep my baby away from that ick forever.
 


Ash fought her nap today. She had her morning nap early (9 instead of 10) so by 1pm she was EXHAUSTED. But Grandma and Grandpa were here, that is way more important than sleep! So she stayed awake. I have no idea how. Lisa took Jake to his doctor appointment just before 4, and I finally got Ash to nap then. If Lisa didn’t leave, I don’t know what would have happened.

Once they were back, we all went to have dinner at the local italian place. I had chicken parm. So good. I have half my chicken in the fridge, waiting to be turned into a sandwich or something tomorrow. Yum yum yum. Ashley was so good, she happily played with Grandma the whole time. I purposely sat against the wall so I wouldn’t have to be constantly responsible for picking up her toys on the floor and such, like I usually am. It was a nice break.

Fingers crossed she sleeps well tonight.
