Ashley was so confused today, looking around. I had music playing, demos and ‘unreleased’ songs, so to her it sounded more like someone was in the other room. When we were in the same room, she didn’t care.

I don’t really have anything to say. Ashley got a new toy today. It is… this. A fun pile of stuff. Jake had so much fun when I brought it home from the post office, he was stacking and pairing the pieces up and then stacking the balls he made out of them. Ashley grabbed the little jingly ball and shook that around (her other jingly ball toys are at Grandma’s place, here with no carpet and a slanty building they just roll away) and looked so happy. It is kind of an early christmas present. Although, it will pack up small so it may be regifted to her on christmas day. Maybe not, she’ll probably have plenty of other toys then.

Smoosh slept so well last night. Pretty much the whole time in her crib, too! She slept with me for an hour or so, but that was because I fell asleep while she was feeding. I barely wake up anymore. I slightly miss the days when I’d have to go pump at about 4am after she ate from one side, it was like bonus me time, sitting on the bathroom floor checking facebook while the noisy pump removed the excess milk from me. I don’t pump anymore, the amount of milk I make is much more controlled so I don’t explode in pain if a side isn’t drained in less than 8 hours. I do have to pump this weekend though, so I have the option of going out on Tuesday when Ashley gets a visitor in the form of grandma.

You know what I hate about going so far away for such a long period of time? All my stuff is here now. So as much as I love being with my family, I miss being with the stuff that is mine, where everything has its own place. And I have to work out the smallest amount of stuff I can take there, but not be needing anything important while we’re gone… I really have to work on my packing list, have to add what Ashley will need me to bring. I have a feeling most of our carry on will just be diapers. How many diapers would we need to take for a 20+ hour flight combo, packing enough so she can have some emergencies or some fast-acting bowels and we will still have enough… ugh. I’ve got 2 weeks to pack, but how much of that actual time will be available for packing, who knows.

I can’t believe the week is almost up. I think it has flown by so fast because we have been eating the same thing for dinner every night. We are down to cranberry sauce, gravy, salad and 3 pieces of stuffing loaf. Jake bought a rotisserie chicken for dinner tonight so we had protein. Pity he bought a bbq flavoured one, it was not a good combination. Oh well.

Title: 19 days till we leave. And the first note on this entry will be my 19000th! Cool coincidence I think.

Yes you are.

Yay! lol.

So does this mean I get to stow away in your suitcase and come to Australia for Christmas?? 😉

RYN: Good thing I have a passport! 😀

My kids have that toy and it’s a favorite! You can do so many fun games with it. Maddie’s favorite toy was the jingly ball for a long time as a baby. 🙂

Packing is kind of a nuisance. I’m not looking forward to doing it, and I only have to pack for one person… NoNoMo update: I did the dishes tonight out of boredom. Also, after saying yesterday that I hope I never have to do an exam again, I’m almost certainly going to do French next year. Which has exams.

My parents got Lily that same stacky thing recently. She puts them in her mouth. I don’t think she gets the stacking part yet.

Must be so exciting to be going home and taking Ash to Oz for the first time! Travel tip: don’t stress over diapers. The airports have them available for passengers with babies in case they get stuck there due to flight delays or cancelations. ~jo

You don’t need heaps of clothes coz you can wash them frequently here. Airlines suggest you pack baby food and snacks for an extra day in case of flight delays. And don’t forget that you and Jake are allowed two pieces of checked baggage each.
