Naptastic musings

I am so in love right now. Ash is sitting up, head resting on my chest, fast asleep. I am so hungry but I never want to move again. She had her normal nap laying next to me, sat up and fussed so I started telling her all the people she is going to meet in a few weeks, and that’s when she rested her head and fell asleep. Love.

We haven’t done much today. Lots of cuddles. I put her on the kitchen floor, other side of the room from the bathroom door. She CRIED the whole time but once I exited the bathroom, she was at my feet. I guess it isn’t long before she tries to just follow me in. I was impressed by her speed.

We went to the store for bread, which took at least 20 minutes even though we live a 90 second walk from there. Everyone wanted to talk to us, marvel her tutu, things like that. The manager asked me the name of the awesome cookies from last year (tim tams. Here they are only available Oct to March, for some stupid reason) and then said he’d order more so they have them for longer this year. Score! I love living in a small town and having people know me, it just feels so snuggly and awesome. It took me a while to get used to it but now it is great.

I must remember to eat more protein for dinner tonight. Skimping and just eating mostly starchy carbs makes me feel SO ILL. It is funny to cure queasiness with a hard boiled egg though. That’s another reason we got bread today, so I could have a peanut butter sandwich for lunch. Mmm.

Some plans for Aus visit are happening already. The 9th is a ‘party’ at Jenn’s place with Ellen. Should be lots of fun. If I don’t see Jenn before then, potential for lots of tears too, I haven’t seen her in 4 years, we both have little girls now. We will also be going to the playground one day. I’m sure we will see Ellen a few more times in that first week and a bit. We only have 10 days in the same place as her so we should make the most of it. Have to plan a meetup with littleredheart when we go to Adelaide for christmas. It has been YEARS since I met anyone from OD. So that should be fun.

Ash is still sleeping. She’s been like this for an hour now. 2 hour nap total. Had thought of going to Staples today, but maybe tomorrow after her doctor appointment. Or on the weekend. And up she gets. My belly is sweaty from her warm face/drool.
