Baby wipes are tasty!

Ashley is so fascinated by kid’s shows. It’s awesome, if I need her to quiet down or give me a minute to do something, I just have to put on the sprout channel. BAM, instant distracted baby.

The bbq at Barb’s on Thursday was awesome. Her house is so tiny and adorable and just perfect for her. Ashley had loads of fun, she was so happy to be passed around and was just smiling and making so many happy noises, it was wonderful, I got to have a break. Plus, the food was amazing. Best burger EVER. Bonus to having cooks as friends.

This weekend has been great. Saturday started with an awesome sleep in with Ash, then we all went downstairs for breakfast. Ashley spent the whole time growling and ‘attacking’ her pink alligator toy, making everyone smile. In the afternoon we went to the mall, where Ashley got a new dress and Natey bought weird flavoured jelly beans after I convinced him to. That was a fun way to spend a bit of time, watching Natey suffer while eating skunk flavoured jelly beans. We all tried the dog food, which Natey says are worse than the skunk ones. The baby wipes weirded me out because they were musk flavoured, and therefore pretty delicious. Boogers and centipedes taste like grass. Pencil shavings tasted like bananas and wood. It was very… interesting.

Today we went to lots of places. We started at Costco, which was probably not a smart idea because that way we pretty much started with a full car. We had lunch at Ruby Tuesday, which was the best pile of delicious food ever. The cheesey garlicy biscuits at the start, the free queso (mmmm….) and then bbq chicken with broccoli and onion rings? Awesome! So filling! We finished the day at Bed Bath & Beyond, trying to walk off some of the food. We ended up with a bunch of cute things, and feeling pretty good. Ashley was fantastic the whole time, of course. She looked like she was having the time of her life in the high chair at the restaurant, as though she was so proud of herself that she got to be an ‘adult’. I was amused because they brought her a biscuit too.

Now… I don’t know if I want dinner or not. It’s hard to think about food.
