You must release me from my oath
Ashley worked out how to scoot clockwise, and found herself under the table. I had to run back from the bathroom because she couldn’t go any further and that was UNACCEPTABLE.
This weekend was pretty nice. I’m so glad the evil hot humid grossness of the previous weekend is gone for now, I much prefer this cool almost always raining or threatening to rain type weather.
On Saturday I was absolutely exhausted, so Jake was lovely and let me sleep in until almost 10am! It was aaaaaaawesome. Ashley joined me from 9 because she needed food and then fell asleep, so Jake got some time to himself too.
We had a delicious afternoon tea downstairs, having a danish each. I ordered a raspberry one and Jake a pineapple one, but they had no raspberry so I ordered a pineapple… and then when they only had one pineaple danish I made Jake pick another, so he ended up with cheese. This worked out well, because I quite liked the pineapple danish, and when I gave Jake a sample of mine, he realised he enjoyed the cheese danish so much more than he would have liked his original choice. While we were at the restaurant, Ashley was fascinating for everyone, of course. Customers on their way out would see Ashley sitting in her corner and would stop and stare in amazement of the cuteness.
Ashley likes to eat my fingers a lot lately, she’s getting pretty good at grabbing and pulling my hand to her mouth.
Saturday night/Sunday morning, Ashley was gassy and wouldn’t lay down in bed for more than a few minutes before she woke up enough to be annoyed by her gassiness. So from 2 to 5, she spent most of the time in her Daddy’s arms on the couch. I had no idea any of this was going on, I was sleeping. Jake was so lovely taking care of her like that. At 5 she ate and slept next to me. I told Jake to lay in bed and wait for me to fall asleep before he got up (he was "wired!") because the computer mouse is LOUD when you are trying to go to sleep. He fell fast asleep before I did, and so I let him sleep in until 10. I like the way it worked out.
When Ashley took her evening nap, Jake let me play some Goldeneye on the N64. It was like a cup of coffee, I got so boosted and felt great. I love having a little time for myself. It’s fantastic that less than half hour of Sez-time makes me so yay-feeling.
This morning I ducked over to the post office and picked up the storybook that I made for Elouise, Jenn’s daughter, for her birthday next week. Because her birthday is next week, I had to get the card/letter/book all wrapped up and mailed off today so it had any kind of hope of getting to it’s destination in time. Ashley stole some of the wrapping paper because it was special super crunchy paper (that came wrapped around a gift from 2 oder’s – C.R.C. and Shady (I’d link if I wasn’t rushed)) so that’s a good thing really. Baby-approved wrapping! I covered the book in 6 pieces of tissue paper and 3 pieces of the crunchy awesome paper. I hope Elouise has a lot of fun with it.
Is that a shirt or a onesie Ashley has on? I love it. Shady and CRC sent Lily a super cute cloche-type hat and matching booties! I’ve never had a pineapple danish, but I love cheese danish.

what fun wrapping paper is! Ashley just seems more grown up all the time. Scooting under the table. Her Daddy use to love to play under the dining room table, that was his favorite indoor play place so maybe she is trying to discover what she is ingrained to know, the underside of a table is FUN.
