Octogenarian Moose Farmer

Ashley is smiling at her Dad, because he keeps "moo"ing at her. It’s hilarious to hear. Occasionally she’ll make a happy noise and Jake will laugh even more. My little family is so ridiculously awesome.

I don’t remember what happened yesterday. I guess that means it was a nice, uneventful day. OH! 2 nights ago, Ashley slept in her crib without her little mini-bed inside of it. When she was super-fresh, she was way too small for her crib, and she hated it. So we got a co-sleeper thing (although having that in our bed failed miserably, so she had it in her own bed). She had recently been sleeping not so well, and I guessed that it might be due to the limited space in her mini-bed-thing now that she’s getting big. I think I was right, because she’s slept rather well the past 2 nights.

This morning, however, she woke up scream-crying. After a change and a cuddle and an attempt at breakfast I noticed something crawling on her arm. A tiny spider! I squished that stupid bug, and baby was a happy smiley baby again. It was awesome.

Tonight (well, more likely very early tomorrow morning – just after midnight) my Dad and brother will be here!! Thankfully Lisa is picking them up and bringing them here so we will probably be asleep when they arrive, which I think will be a bit weird. I’m so excited! I’ve been doing some cleaning today so the place isn’t so gross. We also blew up a really huge air mattress, it’s only a twin but it is HIGH! Looks like it would be rather comfy. I think if it was any longer, Dad would make Matty sleep on the couch. Who knows, he might anyway. We’ll see. I’m so glad we blew that up while everyone was awake, the pump was LOUD and poor Ash got frightened (or the noise hurt her ears).

 
Yesterday evening, this is what Ashley did. She was sleeping on my chest, and she slowly, slowly moved right (her right, my left) until she had her face half-buried in the couch. I rolled over on my side and she was just draped over me, still happily asleep. Weirdo.

Title: I get bored while feeding in the middle of the night, so I just try and think of the weirdest combination of words I can. This was last night’s winner.
