Twitching bubbles

I ache. My legs are just so uncomfortable. I think it is because I swept, which involves bending over to get the broom to reach under stuff? I refused to get down on the ground because of my messed up knee so I just bent over a bit not leaning on my left side. I don’t think that would make me ache like this though. I’m very legly tired.

This morning I tried to loosen up the soil in my ficus’ pot. Poor thing, the soil was so tightly packed that whenever I’d water him, the water would just run around the sides and pour out the bottom of the pot, which usually means the soil has soaked up some water, but not like that. I thought because of his position this year (he’s normally out the back, but the ceiling collapsed in JANUARY and hasn’t been fully fixed yet, so until it is fully fixed he is in the kitchen by the big window) he was losing his leaves but I guess he was actually starting to die. Oops. I’m a bad plant-mum. Although I did try to fix the problem, so I’m just a touch negligent… my hands still smell like soil 9 hours later.

This afternoon, Lisa came over to hang out for a few hours. It is Nick’s birthday so she was in the area, and she’s coming to my midwife appointment tomorrow so her plans were to stay the night at her friend Michelle’s place. And there were a few empty hours between lunch and dinner, so yay I got company! Was lovely. I also got a massive stack of magazines so I have things to read when I feel like laying on the couch and reading. Woo!

Babe is hanging out way in front, it really makes sitting up not that fun. Couch time may be in order now. After I rearrange the fridge a bit, have to move the turkey from the freezer to the fridge tomorrow to let it start it’s thaw. Mmm…. turkey.
