Sweet stripey sugar

Baby keeps kicking me in the spine. Or kidney. Although it’s not really a kick, more of a stretch-and-stay. OW. It was mostly on the right side so I ‘relaxed’ on the couch laying on my left side and the pain went away for the most part (my back is being a painful thing today too, so that just makes this all the more fun). After an hour I needed to get up and my belly was SO HEAVY because she was all smooshed up as far forward as she could go. Pity Jake wasn’t home then, my belly felt SO WEIRD. I had to carry the belly-weight in my arms (that’s a weird sentence) because it was too heavy and awkward to just walk normally.

Such a pity I’m all achy today, I really want to clean!

The other day, I made candy corn. I don’t know what possessed me to suddenly decide to make it, other than I had all the ingredients… but I did it. Took 4 hours and I almost fell asleep in the final stage, but I think the results are pretty cool. I’ve never had store bought candy corn so I don’t know if they are anything like they should be, but they look right, so that’s something! They are still just sitting out ‘drying’, Jake and I both feel they are still approaching the right texture on the outside. There is a pumpkin carving party downstairs tomorrow so I’m thinking I may make some mini brownie muffins and stick these to the top of them. Should be very cute and tasty.

I guess I don’t have much to say. This has been a nice distraction from ouch though, so that’s good.
