This weekend has been pretty awesome.

Saturday morning we did fun things, a trip to Walt so Jake could get all shaved and head-hair-trimmed and grocery shopping. And we took my weekly belly photo. Did you know I’m getting kinda lumpy? 🙂

I don’t remember what we did with lunch time, I do know I fell asleep on the couch and then people wanted to go out so I woke up.

We went to the Bethlehem fair. It was a very sunny day so I got very hot very quickly. Took us forever to get there, so much traffic. And then there was the scary driving through big muddy ditches (pretty much!) to park on the grassy hill. Totally not fun. But then we were done driving and yay fair! I got a tasty lemonade, Jake got a bread bowl full of clam chowder… so gross. Once my lemonade kicked in and I could stand without feeling wobbly (I hate sun) I went and purchased some delicious fried foods.

Fried oreos on the left, funnel cake on the right! And my lemonade in the background (as well as Jake arms)! The oreos were soo good. I was expecting to like, but I was not expecting to like that much. Yum yum yum. I only got one oreo though, because the funnel cake was for me. Even though I shared it, it was mine. Mmm.

After lots of tasty unhealthiness, we wandered back to the car, passing an elephant and a camel, and some GINORMOUS oxen. They were having a competition and holy crap were those things huge. They smelled really bad, otherwise I would’ve wanted to stare at them a little longer. I have decided once this baby is old enough, if it wants to, it can so ride on an elephant at the fair. I’m all… too big to do it now. Silly being a grownup.

Today we have been lazy, watched a boatload of DVR’d Craig (when Ellen got here, we had watched maybe a week or two since Dad left in April… and when Dad was here we watched at least a month or so. We tend to get behind!) and then this afternoon we went for a walk to a beautiful location. Ellen took a million and 2 pictures, I took 5. That’s right, 5. You heard right, 5. Except it was 6, but that is slightly less fun (to people that are me, Natey, and Jake).

We went just up a street just off our street, to a pond that is in front of the area where we walked to get to the fire tower last time Ellen was here. It was nowhere near as pretty as last time, but last time was the peak of autumn and teh pond was lovely and clear and reflecty. Today everything was green, including the top of the water. Still a nice walk. I do enjoy walks where I can stop and rest in the middle, much less tiring and sweaty-making.

(Title: Yet again, Ellen doing codeword puzzles, demanding I be something from the answers she finds. At least today’s was kind of funkified.)

Umm… so far none of the photos in this entry were taken by me (Ellen took the fried photos, Jake took the rest) so I feel I need some of my photography in here…

Oh! Outside, there is a pumpkin plant! It has sprawled all over the side-path, which makes me happy because it looks awesome, and because I knew what it was before pumpkins showed up. Well, pumpkin. So far we only have one, but that’s because the flowers keep getting trimmed off. Sad. Crazy people not wanting a pile of pumpkins growing on a sidewalk.

It’s my little pumpkin buddy!

BUMP!!!! BUMP BUMP BUMP!!! Lee Mee xXx

I’ve only had deep-fried Oreos once before & I was SO sad. I was expecting them to be more like… you know how tempurah-dipped veggies are? Kind of like that, rather than the donut-like creation they actually were.
