Creepy talking sperm-noodle*

Ellen-taken photo from Wednesday. I hope all my shirts don’t look that almost-see-through now.

On Thursday, Ellen and I went grocery shopping. I don’t know why I want to start my entry with that info. We had to wait until it wasn’t raining, but of course when we left the store it was, as well as disgustingly humid.

Yesterday we didn’t do much, I sent Jake to the store to buy matches and water, and that’s about it. We did buy 2 large pizzas for dinner, which is also lunch and dinner today (and maybe more, but I doubt that a little) …we have pizza rations!

This morning, Jake and I went to Shell at 8am in hopes of beating the rush of people filling up their tanks. We did, yay. Makes waking up early worth it. We also went to the store next door to see if they have any more water, but they didn’t. They also did not have dried fruit. I want dried fruit.

Ellen picked a great time to come visit. First an earthquake and now a hurricane? Score. I am a bit freaked out by all this, not right now, but I was earlier and I will be later. Right now I am happy and calm, we are pizza-lunching in an hour and that is awesome, it is gently raining which is always calming for me, and apparently now we are going to watch Man vs Food so I can have something distracting. Score.

*edit* I left out something awesome! On Friday I got a bundle of baby stuff in the mail! It’s all adorable and pretty and lots of it is covered in owls and there are tiny little knitted baby hats and aww a tiny head will be able to fit in them!

Also, we got more water. Obviously we went to the store too early this morning! We went for OJ and chocolate (the store is right next door, mini trips are simple) and they had water so now we have multiple gallons of bottled water and other bottles and such elsewhere of fridge water. Mmm, prep.

Title: I don’t know what Jake was watching while I was title-thinking, I think he is just flipping the channels… but… oh man was the cartoon creature talking really creepy.

I’ve just read another ODer that CT has been declared a state of emergency by Obama and the state, and that all roads are to be closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles. Maybe you should fill up some other containers with water. *hugs*

I hope you’re not too badly affected by the hurricane! Take care of yourselves!

Dude. I’m disturbed just by reading the title, let alone seeing the inspiration for it! ~jo

When are you finding out if it’s a squidlet or squidlette? Is there anything baby wear related you *need*? Do you crave a theme such as monkeys or ladybugs for your baby wear? I’d like to make baby something to wear after their arrival. Or a blanket. 🙂

Baby stuff is the cutest. Clay and his dad finally erected (tee hee! Erected!) a clothesline for me today (after two years of asking for one) and the first line of clothes I put out was Rhea’s. Cutest clothesline full of clothes ever! ~jo
