Everything is whey too salty

 

This week has been rather quiet, which is always nice. The town is beautiful looking again, after such a long winter. Everything is green and there are flowers everywhere and it is just so lovely. As it happens every single year around this time, it took me a few days of seeing all the lovely flowers and such to realise it is actually spring so of course this all makes sense. Every year I have a brief thought in the back of my mind how odd it is here that everything flowers in autumn, and it is only until I think about it, trying to work out how to word that thought to Jake, that it occurs to me how ridiculously silly I am. I wonder if I will ever get used to spring at this time of year. I’m a spring baby. My birthday is in November. Jake is also a spring baby, his birthday is in May. Confusion.
 

I finally got a picture of Grace standing. She’s not leaning on the aircon, just resting her paw on it. So amusing to see.

On Thursday it was Russ’s 77th birthday. There was a party in the afternoon after the restaurant closed, so I made some cookies as a present. All but 4 got packed into a cute little box that I was very proud of because it was just an old shipping package that I made pretty. We had cheesy salsa and so many potato chips as our dinner. Delicious, but so salty.

Since Wednesday evening, we have been spending each night watching many episodes of Nip/Tuck on DVD. Such a good show. We watched season 3 (with the carver) first, because season 1 and 2 I have as region 4 so we have to watch them on the computer not the tv, and I was being lazy on Wednesday and didn’t want to get out from under kitties to set that up. We started season 1 tonight.

Jake is watching entertaining tv and Grace is playing with her favourite toy (that she lost yesterday and only just found) so I am having trouble coming up with words.
