Less gibberish, more love.
So… I don’t think I mentioned this here yet. One of the waitresses downstairs was looking for a temporary home for her 3 cats and Jke volunteered us. Which is awesome, because, well, kitties!! Yesterday Jake came home with her number, so he could call her from our phone so she could have our number. When he called, she said she was out and would call in a bit once she was home. I think she called at 9pm, saying she as too tired to bring the cats then, and she’d call us tomorrow (today) at midday. It’s 10pm, no word. I hate when people are late, face-to-face or with anything semi-scheduled. So this is fun. I predicted at 4 that she would call at 10:30 and give us the same line from last night. I guess I’ll find out soon if I was right.
When (if?) the cats come to stay, they will be here for a while. Katey has to find a new place to live, and the cats will be here until then. So that shall be cool. I just really hate waiting.
We went downstairs for lunch today. I realised I hadn’t been down there since the remodelling, so I made sure to take my camera. It’s hardly noticeable, but at the same time, rather obvious if you’ve been there before.
All the red was once green. I like the red more, it seems… more like home. Probably because we have a lot of red stuff up here. (These were the only photos I got, I didn’t want to include a bunch of the customers so I only took photos were there were no people)
I had what I called a frankenstein sandwich – a turkey reuben with some of Jake’s chili, as well as most of my potato chips, shoved inside. Delicious and weird and so so good.
I don’t know how to end this entr…
That’s a great thing you’re doing, watching her kitties. I don’t think I could do it because I’d get too attached. Then again, if you know they belong to someone else I guess you wouldn’t have the opportunity to get attached? Hmmm. But anyway, very nice thing for you to do for her.

Three cats would be a handful I bet! They’re awesome animals though 🙂

Yay kitties! Boo flaky people! I’m really worried that the Mini Cooper is going to be allergic to kitties like her dad is. He got shots for a year to fix his allergy, but I don’t think you can do that with a baby. :o( New decor is pretty cool! ~jo

New restaurant decor looks quite cool… Kind of more house-like. Also, cats are quite excellent. How would you feel if I were to pay a visit in late November/early December instead of January? Not 100% decided yet, but leaning towards travelling a bit earlier than I first thought…

I like the new colours. Still the same vase of flowers and the same ketchup bottle…. Looks fresher though. Is the kitchen renovated too?
