Potion controls my heartbeat.

Yesterday morning, Jake had an appointment with his neurosurgeon about the results of his recent MRI. His brain-gunk hasn’t changed, so that’s good.

We went to the appointment with Lisa & Matt, Jake’s mum and stepdad. So afterwards, we went to lunch! Lisa asked a guy who worked at the hospital (at least I think he did, he had a thing around his neck that suggested he worked there) for a suggestion of a tasty food-place, and he offered Brazi’s. So good. I had a Monte Cristo sandwich, but I could only eat half of it because I filled up on the awesome bread and the fried mozzarella and calamari that we got to share as an appetiser. Mmm… such good tasties.

Right next door to the restaurant was Ikea, so after lunch we went to wander around and look for things we might want to save up for. I think we spent 2 hours walking through, looking at everything. I found a bookshelf and tv stand that I really want (and will get eventually) as well as an awesome couch that was just so nice. Won’t be getting that though. It would be so awesome to be able to go there and just buy all the awesome things. I like putting things together, so Ikea is the perfect place for me.

So overall, yesterday was an awesomely lovely day in New Haven with family.

Today Jake and I haven’t really done much. We walked down the road to the bakery and bought a giant slice of carrot cake to share. I could only eat half of my half. It was huge. But that means I get to enjoy it tomorrow as well. I adore carrot cake.

I feel like I have more things to write about, but I’m getting really distracted by the tv so this will have to do.
