Snugglesaurus

There has been a near-insane level of wind here for the past 24 hours. The kind of wind where I think the building may just blow away. It is so strong that it is blowing through the closed windows so even though our couch is far away from the wall, when I was sitting there relaxing earlier I kept getting cold breezes on me.

Today was… tiring. My hips hurt. Stupid having to use my legs. We left bright and early to get the laundry done, which was quick and easy because for the first time in a LONG time, the laundromat was almost empty. There were maybe 5 other people in there. Lovely.

After boring cleaning clothes, we went to the mall. I got 2 pairs of jeans, that thankfully fit. What kind of clothing store has no room to try on clothes? It makes no sense. I was very happy when I got home and found out that they fit. The extra cool thing is… one of the pairs is flared. Yay! I like to be able to hide in my clothes, so flares and long sleeves are fantastic. That’s a remnant from my cripplingly-shy days.

We also got the cutest things for Michele and Matt’s baby. The baby shower is next Sunday so now we have something to give them. I just have to find some wrapping paper somewhere… or maybe go through my pile of gift bags. There has to be something non-christmassy in there, even if it is purple. But look…

Is that not adorable? I love that there is an alligator and ‘chomp chomp’ on a bib. That amuses me so very much.

We Costco’d, we grocery shopped, we came home… exhausting. So much moving and carrying things. I have an awesome husband, he happily made dinner by himself, which meant I got to be lazy and sit around waiting for food to appear.

Oh man, I’m sleepy. I hope if we get blown away by the wind, we get blown to the south-east of Australia. That would be rather convenient. Cmon wind, you can do it!
