You can’t tell time, you’re a zebra!
This morning, when I looked out the window, I was greeted by a solid world of white. I convinced Jake (who hadn’t yet gone to work… I got up early) to come outside with me, just for a little look around.
The snow was at least up to my knees! So awesome. That’s the most snow I have ever encountered (at natural depths, I don’t count plow-piles) so it was awesome fun.
We went over to my car, which was barely visible. With me standing next to it, the snow was higher than my head.
We walked around the building, me taking pictures and giggling like an idiot. We went seperate ways at the front of the building, Jake went to the back via the parking lot, because he was going to go in for work. I walked around the way we hadn’t yet walked, so I could enjoy making massively deep footprints. By the time I was upstairs and taking off my snow-layer, Jake was back. He got a snow day! Even though we live right above where he works!
At about lunch time, the snow had stopped so the plows were out. We went to clear off the car so we could move it. It was insanely difficult, but fun. Thankfully the plow-guy came over to help us out. He helped me remove the snow off the top until Jake came back with 2 shovels, then he helped with the shovelling. Mostly, he freed the car and we helped a bit. Still, it was quite a workout, and I came back upstairs gross and sweaty.
The other day I uploaded various pictures from our trip home. Still haven’t done the vacation2 pictures of Adelaide and the zoo, but I’ve done the Melbourne pics.
On our last night, we went to a playground that Jenn and I used to visit very often. Jake, as usual, acted as event photographer. There are so many pictures of Natey and I playing on that weird spinny clown swing thing, I think that one is the best.
The other picture is from when we went to TGI Fridays the second time. Natey’s cutlery was magnetised. It was amusing, and slightly creepy-weird, and I got a video of it because… why not.
This was one of the many photos I took of the sunset as we were descending toward JFK airport last Thursday. Such lovely colours.
Random noter: The aerial sticking out of the pile of snow is a lovely touch.

OMG, I so want to see snow … one day! I went to Tassie and it snowed 2 days AFTER I left!! Blahhh. It really fascinates me that people are in such cold climates where here in WA, it gets cold, but other than a thin layer of ice on your windscreen in the height of winter, that’s it. maybe -1, -2 at the coldest.

That clown thing is SUPER CREEPY! And so is magnetized cutlery. Who would magnetize cutlery? Weird. We have snow like that here today so I have a snow day! Yay! ~jo

So much snow!!!!!! It was very nice of the plow-man to help you get the car out. Do you have your own shovels? You should send Mazz the photo of you in snow up past your knees and the car with the aerial sticking out. She would love that. *hugs*

such neat pictures. I can actually say I enjoyed this snow storm because I was off and didn’t have to navigate in it, just watch and enjoy from the inside. Matt dug my car out in the afternoon. It has been a long time since we have had that much snow, the boys were very young and loved sledding in it on the days off from school. I loved that time…
