I sneezed myself awake this morning, which was slightly annoying as it was not even 6am. But it was too hilarious for me to care too much. Who sneezes themselves awake?

Jake watched tv while I putered. He found the weirdest thing on Animal Planet – Puppy Bowl. It was just a little play area decorated like a football field, and a bunch of puppies running around playing. At half time, they cleared the ‘stage’ and brought out a bunch of kitties! The whole show went for 3 hours. Why does that even exist?

After Puppy Bowl, we went downstairs for breakfast. Jake walked along the driveway next door, I walked along where we normally have a footpath to the front of the restaurant. The path did not exist though, but that’s why I walked that way. There was rather deep snow which was just so much fun to walk through. Super soft snow so each step meanth my foot just disappeared.

For breakfast, I had pancakes. Very delicious. Jake also had pancakes, but he had fruit in his. I’m not fond of fruit in my pancakes. I just want as much maple syrup as the pancakes can possibly hold. We also saw Kerry and Mel, which was lovely. I think we may be going bowling and/or having a game night with them within the next 2 weeks, before they go back to school. So that shall be nice. I have to think of things to bake. Any excuse 🙂

After breakfast we cleaned the snow off the car. I think there was about 6 inches of snow all over it. Jake used the shovel and cleared around the wheels while I cleared all the snow off the actual car. We didn’t finish, because Jake was silly and refused to wear the thick gloves, choosing instead to wear the pathetic thin black gloves that were in his coat pockets, so his hands got cold very fast. We planned on going back out later, once we warmed up and our clothes dried off a bit. I was completely covered in snow when we went indoors.

By 1, Jake was asleep on the couch with the football (real this time) playing loudly on the tv, and so we went to bed for Jake to nap and me to play a game on the DS. I woke up at 7pm to Jake asking me what we were having for dinner. Super confusing, as first I thought that meant I had slept the entire day, didn’t even occur to me that I was just napping. So I had oatmeal for dinner, because that is very easy for my asleep-brain to make.

SNL time. Tv is currently telling us all about snow in the state overnight, and we actually saw our town name on the map which never happens. Was weird.

They usually show the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet during the Super Bowl.

Duuuuuude! Puppy bowl sounds so much more awesome than super bowl! Football bores the crap out of me, and Clay loves it. But puppies?! They never bore me! :o) We have a ton of snow here. Bah. ~jo

Why do they have puppy bowl? Sounds like the two of you watched the entire three hours of it. Cool that you got home to see your town name on a tv map and to have lots of squishy snow to walk through.

Mmmmm! Pancakes and maple syrup. I can’t think of anything better right now.

I watch at least 30 minutes of Puppy Bowl every year. I’m surprised you saw it already — I guess it was a replay? — because they usually play it opposite the Super Bowl.
