Nothing between us if you just…

The internet here is barely crawling along, so hopefully I can post an entry. So glad tomorrow is the last day of the month so I won’t have to wait too long for quick internet again.

I was going to do a catchup entry tonight, with many pictures (and even more links to pictures) but due to the internet speed… it took me 5 minutes to upload one photo. I cannot be bothered doing any more than that. And that wasn’t even an interesting photo, so I’m not posting that here.

So the catch up entry will be in a day and a half… hopefully.

Last night I had such difficulty getting to sleep. That bed kinda sucks, especially compared to the comfy one at the hotel. Whenever Jake moves even slightly, it sounds like someone crinkling a newspaper in my ear. The doona bugs me too, it keeps sliding down in the cover so there is a foot of pointless material. I’m usually pretty fussy about the position of my bed covers, and last night was extra because I was utterly exhausted and just wanted to sleep. I also couldn’t breathe, each breath was a cough, in and out. Plus I felt over-crowded because I had been in such close quarters with people all day long. I always need a little bit of alone time to keep me from going bad-crazy.. And the bedroom was full of all our stuff just strewn everywhere because I was too tired to unpack. Still am, but at least I can see the bedroom floor now.

Today I slightly unpacked. I don’t really know what else I have done. Natey has been shut away in his room playing games and listening to music so we’ve all been doing our own thing rather than what we have been doing for the last month – hanging out together and watching loads of funny tv. Dinner was KFC because it is Thursday and Thursday = KFC night. I would have been very sad if we didn’t have it today, because yesterday on the way home we passed SO MANY KFCs and they were all tempting me because they contain delicious food.

So I think I listened to music for a while, because I have a song in my head. I know Claire and her dog Huey came over at one point. I must’ve had my earphones in then because I didn’t hear them… but all of a sudden it smelled like everyone in the house was drenched in sweat and approaching me. No, it was just the odorous announcement of PUPPY!

Now… who knows. I can’t do anything on facebook, it won’t load past the front page. I think both Jake’s and my DSs are flat, so I can’t play my new DS game.If Natey is watching tv rather than listening to music, I might join him but other than that… I have no idea how I am going to spend my evening.

I’m really looking forward to going home to our apartment, only because then I have all my stuff and it all has it’s own place rather than in suitcases on the floor. I want to use drawers and cupboards again. And cook food. I was going to suggest I make dinner tomorrow night but it is going to be 40 tomorrow so no chance of cooking in that heat.
