One day there WILL be an attack of bananas.

I’m sitting here, eating dry cereal (Just Right… I love this stuff and actually miss it when we aren’t here) and being rather dizzy. The dizzy isn’t annoying, because I am pretending it’s fun and I am on a ride. WEEEEEEEEEE!! Clearly I need more sleep, but this house has so much noise in it even when everyone is asleep or not here, so I had to get up not long after I woke up at 6.

There are two fish tanks, the big one that has always been there, and a little guy in the bathroom that constantly sounds like someone trying to take a piss. Good thing the toilet is in a seperate room or it would be almost constantly confusing.

This house is also full of so much stuff. I know it is only slightly worse than when I used to live here, but compared to this place, Jake and I live in a very minimalistic apartment. Here… this study room, there is a small path from the door to the computer desk, and the rest of the place is full of stuff. This is the main dumping ground for things people don’t want elsewhere, always has been. In the passageway there is the wooden frame from one bed, maybe 2. Or maybe even 3, I don’t know. Both the boys have a big grown-up bed (queen maybe? Who knows… them probably) in their rooms so the old single beds are just laying around because there is nowhere to put them. The mattresses are behind the couch. Yesterday Matty jumped on them and laid down to relax… and sank right in between them and got stuck. It was absolutely hilarious.

We are staying in Matty’s bedroom, which was my bedroom growing up. Which is nice, because I’m used to the blind (it has Mickey Mouse and friends all over it) and the orange light it casts through the room as soon as the sun is up.

Yesterday, Claire brought her giant puppy Huey over so we could meet him. I think he is a golden retriever? I don’t know dog types. Natey told me he is 9 months old, and he is huge. Huey realised that I like to play tug of war with him using his odd yellow horseshoe-and-rope toy, so I spent a lot of yesterday afternoon doing that. Only stopped because my hands hurt. Strong dog. If I can find a USB hole on one of the computers I’ll upload some pictures so you can see giant Huey.

Dad made lasagne for dinner, which was awesomely tasty. I was sad that I didn’t get a prize for finding 2 bay leaves in my serving. I think that deserves a prize. Once mum came home, she started prepping tomorrow night’s dinner of curried sausages. She made the mistake of saying to me "I want to sit down and eat dinner, but I just have to do this first…" so I made her tell me what needs to be done and sent her to eat dinner. It was fun to boss Mum around. It was good, I had a Natey hang out in the kitchen and help me out with the cooking of the sausages in the grill thing.

Today’s plans… I don’t know. We need to go buy milk for me (everyone in this family drinks Skinny Milk… but not me. I can’t stand it, to me it has this gross flavour that can’t be masked. Even if I made a glass of chocolate milk so dark it was almost the same colour as the chocolate syrup… it would still have the skinny milk background flavour and I wouldn’t be able to drink it) and maybe some bread for lunch. Other than that, who knows! I have many things I can clean or organise or we may just sit around and watch tv again. It’s all awesome.

Hope you are doing well.

You’re like Matt – he can’t stand the taste of light milk either (I don’t mind either). 😛 RYN: I thought that’d be the place when you mentioned it in yesterday’s entry!

USB ‘hole’ is at the end of the sparkly cable to the left of this computer. It would be good not to have so much stuff lying around. A lot of it is your stuff that got kicked out of your room when Matty made the room his own. One day I might have enough time to clean up and get rid of stuff. One day……

Yay for Oz! And giant puppies! And lasagne! Weird that you don’t get Just Right in the states. We have it here in Canada. ~jo
