I hate you, sparkling apple juice

It’s midday. I’ve been up since 8. I’ve unpacked and repacked the suitcases, weighed them (heavy bastards, but they are just barely within the limit… which means we can’t bring much stuff back. Bah.

I’m hoping Nick will be here a little before 2pm. I don’t know whether his wife Stacy is coming or not. I can’t wait until we are on the plane at LAX. After we’ve been through the transfer part. That is the part that is stressing me out, and that is like… 12 hours away. Before that I will be freaking out about that, even though it will probably be straight forward, it bothers me. I don’t care that we have to get patted down before we get to the terminal here. I’d prefer if they have the scanny things but either way, don’t really care. Once we will be at that terminal… ah, after that there is only… 13 hours of plane? And then go through customs (easy, I love that we can go through the citizen lines for both countries, because we are allowed to go together), grab our bags, and go hug my little brother and his fiancee and go home. I can’t believe how close that all is!

OK! Creepiest thing ever! I just went downstairs to unlatch the door (Nick, like his mother, just walks in and says hello as he’s walking up the stairs… which is how we want visitors to arrive) and there was a pile of scarecrows just sitting outside the door, blocking the way out. Creepy creepy creepy!! I had to sneak out so I could move them so we could escape later. So creepy. My only guess is that whoever was deconstructing the scene outside the restaurant downstairs and they assumed we had already left? So odd.
