Mouth full of skin

I have eaten almost this entire stuffing loaf by myself the past few days. Jake has had a few slices in total, I have a few slices a night. Man, stuffing loaf has always been my most favourite thing about christmas, and now everyone here loves it too. Yay!

My right thigh is itchy. Has been for… I think it is more than a week now. I had to cover it in bandaids (I think 10?) the other day because in the shower I scratched my leg so much every single little red itchy spot started to bleed. So that was great. My leg is still spotty, still itchy, but not deathly-itchy-can’t-have-anything-touching-it-or-I-will-cry-it-is-so-itchy.

Today our landlord (and Jake’s boss) Russ came up to check out what could be leaking in the bathroom. I love Russ, he’s so lovely. I think the apartment (the bathroom especially right now) is not very clean (not gross, just.. not perfectly clean) but he said "it is always so neat and clean in here, you are a great housekeeper" or something like that. Very sweet. Makes me wonder how bad the previous tenants were though. I like when Russ comes up here to do things, rather than his assistant-dude Mike. Mike is liek a ninja, he makes a tiny knock or says a soft hello when he comes by (Jake usually runs up beforehand to warn me that someone is coming to see something) and then doesn’t make a sound. So I get surprised when he leaves. Ninja! Russ, however, talks to me constantly, but I like it because it isn’t fake-friendly chatter. Plus I get many hugs, and hugs are nice.

I am so looking forward to tomorrow. We have just enough leftover turkey, potatoes, and pie to have a proper all-inclusive thanksgiving meal, even if it is the 5th day in a row that we will be having such a meal. Still awesome. We have a huge amount of this season’s Dexter to watch as well, so we are going to have a marathon tomorrow. I discovered 2 days ago that we get ‘points’ through Charter with every dollar we ‘give’ them …so we had some ridiculously huge number of points. And one of the things that we could get was 6 months of free Showtime… so now we have to catch up on this year’s Dexter! I love that I know this, by the time next year’s season premiere comes around (assuming there will be another…) we will yet again have enough points to get 6 months free Showtime. So BAM. I think this is awesome. All day Jake and I have been excitedly looking forward to tomorrow because we don’t have to do anything but RELAX!

Today we got Jake’s meds for the trip… we had to wait around the drug store while they called the insurance and got a "vacation over-ride" which Jake and I both thought was a hilarious term. The drug store is full of so many amusing things so waiting around there is no big deal. Plus we live next door, so it’s not like we were going to get stuck in rush hour traffic or anything. I also got an email from mum’s travel agent saying she booked our seats. Which is great, Jake gets an aisle seat! Yay for Jake! He is tall and he has a shunt, so he needs the space and the ability to get up to use the facilities to drain the fluid that the shunt drained from his brain.

There are very few things we have left to do before leaving on Sunday. And most of that is packign clothes, which we can’t do until after Saturday when we go to the laundromat. So pretty much I have nothing to do. Yay nothing!

I read your email which said that you hadn’t heard from Lesley, so I am happy to read that you now have heard from her. Good that you will be able to sit together. Vacation over-ride sounds exciting.

Oh, forgot to say that I love the photo of the sky, and I hope Russ found something to fix.
