Unimaginably Tiny Puppy

Our bathroom looks like it is constantly on fire because the sun has to go past this tree in order to infiltrate the tiny room of water. It is awesome. This is my fire-tree and I love it so. I will be sad in a week or so when a heavy rain comes and knocks all the leaves off.

I feel like I should write at least one more entry while I am still 25. My birthday is on Monday. I don’t think I have anything to say, but has that ever stopped me? Yes, yes it has. Quite a lot this year, actually. Silly Sez saying silly statements.

We haven’t been doing anything really exciting lately. Clearly, because even mundanely exciting activities – like doing laundry OMG – end up being entry-worthy. Umm… we went to the bank the other day. Which was only exciting because we got lollypops. Pretty decent ones, actually. And then I took a picture of our candy-on-a-stick on the way home.

And I don’t know why, but I’m kinda proud of that photo.

We have a purple pumpkin candy bucket sitting on the dining table, with an awesome witch’s hat on top. I don’t have a picture yet, but that’s because I only just did it, and had already uploaded a pile of pictures right before. And I’m lazy. Candy will go in the bucket, and then we shall have candy. Not that any costumed children (heh, I just typed chicken) will come and claim the candy, but it is still good to have it.

I’m looking forward to having a turkey burger from Ruby Tuesday on Saturday. Because I am signed up to get email coupons from them, I got a free birthday burger coupon. Mmm, so tasty and so cheap.

I desperately need a haircut. But I’m too scared to go get it done. If I was to get all the horridly split hair removed, my hair would be up to my shoulders. My hair grows really slowly, that’s like 3 years worth of growth! And it would remove the only hair left that is my preferred gold colour of hair. I should just dye my hair the colour it used to be but… I have no experience doing so and no one to help me and I would be too scared to try it by myself (and refuse to pay someone to do if for me). Ugh, I don’t want short hair, but I am sick of this stupid stuff attached to me. Either way I will be annoyed and sad, I should just do it. Gah. I know Etoile Filante understands hair-trimming-terror. If I think about it, it is on par with "will I get my green card and be able to stay in the country" which I realise is kind of sad.

Jake is watching baseball and I want to go to bed. I think he is only watching baseball because I am still on the computer. I hope the bed doesn’t still feel wet. It rained all day and was humid-but-not… all the fabricy furniture felt like someone had spritzed wated all over them. It was so gross. I was laying on the couch and it felt like I had quickly taken a big sweaty creature’s spot when they left. Ew.

Also, I am halfway through Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I am reading through all the Roald Dahl books from the box set we bought a few weeks ago. I don’t like owning books I have not read. Plus, they make fabulous bedtime reading. Especially the short books, start and finish and don’t end up staying awake many hours after bedtime to do so.

We can buy smallish pumpkins for Halloween (like the ones you have everywhere) for $20 each. I would guess about the size of the pumpkin at the back of the sleigh. Seems rather a lot for a pumpkin that wouldn’t do anything. I like that the half lollypop lines up exactly with the bottom of the building. Pantene make a treatment for hair ends that might help you. In a little tube.

I need a haircut as well and am dreading it, more so because it’s a long boring process than be being afraid of them doing something weird to my hair. I love Roald Dahl! His short stories are so delightfully creepy!

You are such a good photographer I love all of these pictures but of course especially the one with you and Jake so cute. You have beautiful hair but I will help if and when you need it. Love to you both

put lemon juice through your hair and go out in the sun, it will only bleach your hair a little lighter so you won’t screw it up or anything! If anything it will give you natural looking blonde highlights
