Zombieism is just mob mentality…

Last night, we went to Red Robin to have dinner with family. It was such a lovely time.

Jake and I got there a bit early, but that’s because we left early. I didn’t know if we would encounter peak hour traffic during the near-hour drive, so as soon as Jake got home and showered, we left. Which meant we got to Red Robin at 5:10 when we were ‘meant’ to get there at half past. The good part was, we knew Lisa and Matt would be at the mall right there already so all was good. Kristen and her boyfriend Matt were going to join us a bit later, which was good because that meant we got to eat straight away.

I had a strawberry lemonade, which came in the above awesome glass. We also got a tower of onion rings (such crunchy crunch… mmm). And my burger was… a bbq chicken ‘sandwich’ (but it’s a burger, it bugs me that they aren’t called burgers here…) that was so good and so huge. I really wished I was a snake when I was eating it because if I could unhinge my jaw I would have been able to bite the whole thing properly. As it was, I strained my jaw a tad and even then couldn’t bite it all at once. So good though. (No picture because I was too excited to eat when the burger finally came)

It was a lovely evening. We had an hour of eating and spending time with just Lisa and Matt, and then Kristen and Matt showed up and had their food and… that’s how such meals should be. The more people there are, the less I speak, so this way we got to talk and such rather than just listen to other people tell stories. Love it!

We got home at about 9, so that was a 5 hour dinner-trip. So worth it though. Plus, I love driving at night when I’m not being blinded by headlights, so highway driving is perfect for that. I don’t get to drive at night often.

This looks weird now… but I’ve had the bag of cotton candy hanging above the kitchen sink since I got it on Saturday. Less chance of squishing something that is in the air, right?

We haven’t really done much else this week. On the weekend we are going to get me a new phone. My current one is 4 years old and slowly dying, has been for months and months. The other day I couldn’t even get calls, and that is what has prompted me to get something new now. I don’t know what I want though. But when do I know what I want?

Title: ….influenced by one cannibal. (I come up with odd theories when I’m laying in bed avoiding sleep.)

sounds like so much fun at Red Robin. 😀 still say try the veggie burger sometime for when you want something new and different! 8DDD snc btw, I LOVE nighttime driving on the highway. I remember in our old house in Arizona we’d go down this Lone Mountain Road and you see said Lone Mountain and a huge display of stars (since we lived in an area with not much city lights)…

Ooo cool glass. I haven’t had Red Robin before. Silly burger was trying to be a sandwich. The cotton candy hanging does look weird. Woo new phone!

What a very strange glass! It sounds like you had a great time. You have made me want a burger. I laughed at the parachute of fairy floss – keeps the ants away I guess.

It’s weird…in some places a sandwich is a burger, but in others it’s, like, an actual sandwich…two slices of proper bread with the burger and whatever inside. A burger sandwich. Heh :o) That drink looks awesome…love the glass!

Love that glass!

September 11, 2010

That is the best glass ever! It looks pregnant. Pregnant with strawberry lemonade. Ummm. I think that in North America, we are funny and semantics rule our thinking, so it’s marketing based that is a sandwich rather than a burger. They think we can’t think for ourselves and will think, “oh a sandwich, that’s healthy!” versus “Ouu, a burger! That’s junk food!” ~jo

That glass is heaps groovy. I want one. AND I want a giant fairy floss bag hanging over my kitchen sink. *Jealous*

Ryn: Ooo lots of stuff! Thanks! No I don’t think you have because it’s not in my queue. Unless you did and I forgot to put it in there. They all look like stuff I will enjoy and some of it is streamable too yay!

you want FACE-STROBE!! That’s exactly what you want, no doubt 🙂
