Lacking the flavour foundation

Many things (okay, not really many, barely a few…) have happened since I last wrote.

Stupid evil ants got inside my candy container. This is where I keep all my delicious musk candy that I can’t get here but love immensely so my darling mum sends me some occasionally. So it’s not like I can just go to the store and replace it. Thankfully I was pretty low to begin with. Because I couldn’t think how to get them out of the container without having mass ant attack to deal with (there were about 20 in there, but most moved to around the lid when I moved the container) I filled the thing with water and walked away. Gross.

We went to the farmer’s market on Wednesday, and I saw this on the way. Guess that means the little town fair is this weekend! Last year, Jake had a burger or some other kind of meat for dinner, and I had funnel cake. For dinner. We shared cotton candy for dessert. So I’m looking forward to that this year! Might eat some real food before we go though, I think my stomach doesn’t like sweets for dinner anymore.

We have been watching a lot of Red Dwarf. Jake is really enjoying it. We’re up to season 4, which is coming tomorrow. We’ve also watched Kick Ass, Up, Zodiac and…. I’m sure there was another one but I don’t remember. Nell, maybe? Mostly good movies. Zodiac went on WAY too long. It felt like it was 4 hours long.

When I came in from taking this picture this evening, Jake ‘reminded’ me to turn the light off behind me. Problem with that, it was the sun. The entire room was GLOWING. Bobert is not usually orangy-green. It was so lovely.

My hair smells like my mum. I switched to Pantene conditioner and all I smell is my mother now. It’s nice, but kinda weird. It’s like I just hugged her or something. Makes me smile.

Jake and I were thinking of going to Red Robin for our anniversary eats at the end of the month. We’ve only been once, years ago, before we discovered Ruby Tuesday. Because it is halfway between here and where Matt and Lisa live, we invited them to come with us. Turns out they were going to ask us to join them at Red Robin next week! Which I think is kinda hilarious, but really awesome. Yay, burgers before we expected! Of course, now I have to come up with something else for us to do on our anniversary. I only thought of Red Robin yesterday (I only started thinking yesterday…) so it isn’t a huge mess in my mind’s order. I’m excited, it feels like FOREVER since we’ve seen Lisa and Matt…. I think mum was here. I love our family.

How the hell did the ants get IN the jar?! *shudder* ~jo

Dude, so sorry about ants invading the candy. ;_; That’s happened to me too. This is why I no longer keep lollies in the candy jar WITHOUT putting them in a ziploc bag first. Gah, I’m not particular to those things, but at least it keeps ants away from my food! HAPPY ALMOST-ANNIVERSARY! 8D Aawww, your anniversary’s in September too, that’s awesome! Bobert looks lovely all goldy-green!

Have fun at the fair! ouo And at Red Robin! Their food IS good, I remember a long long time ago, when I was little, they had these scrumptious veggie burgers. If they still have ’em, give those a try, even if you’re non-vegetarianness. 😀 LOL it’s almost like psychic burgers, isn’t it?! They KNEW you wanted to eat them, so Matt and Lisa were brainwashed. YES. D: *creepy!* lolI’mweird

I also have to say the fair-stuff photo is LOVELY. Gah, all that green is so beautiful! Is that a view out your window? ryn: Split in half?! Whoa. That’s an amusin’ bruisin’ there. XD I have a really dumb question. Feel free to throw Farty Marty at me, but: Matt and Lisa are family members? Or are they just really awesome friendies? iforgot. ;.; *awful person* UBINGS!

I adore Red Robin & their unlimited fries; they have this new sandwich (I think it was for the summer) called the chicken caprese that I would go over the moon for. Amazing, amazing.

Ryn: Ooo really?

We had an ant infestation in our apartment during our trip to Africa this past March. We got home and they were all over our bathroom. They were like, bigger than the big ants. They were mutant ants. It was so gross. I’m sorry you had to throw out your treats from home. Epic fail. 🙁

Town fair in diamond creek coming up soon, you just reminded me of how bummed I am to be missing that LOL I liked Kick Ass though I expected more character development or something…something was lacking to make it as awesome as I’d hoped. I use Pantene too, it gives the shinyness I crave. Apple shampoo I use reminds me of how I loved apple shampoo as a kid. It’s like every shower is a party
