“A little table never hurt anyone”

Last night, I noticed there was a ladybug hanging out on the ceiling above the couch. I love ladybugs, they are the easiest bugs to carry outside because I can just flick them off the wall, onto my hand and they will stay while I carry them outside. Last night’s bug decided to be odd and landed on my face instead. Which was okay, because it stayed still while I got my camera and moved into the light. When I took it outside and put it on my hand it tried to fly back onto my face. Silly bug. I wonder if I got any luck from that?

Tonight we went to a chinese buffet for dinner, with Jake’s dad (Gale), stepmum (Nancy), brother (Nick) and brother’s wife (Stacy). I was very impressed with myself because I was given directions (go on 64, left on 63…) and I knew exactly what roads were meant. Only took 4 years, but I’m learnding (meow!)

All you can eat has never been a smart idea when I’m involved, there is never value for money there. I had some fried rice, some sweet and sour chicken, a little bit of general tso’s chicken (I think? Eh, it tasted exactly -but worse- like when we make orange chicken) and I was full. Thankfully Stacy got full after her first small plate too. So we sat while the men-folk ate more food, and then we grabbed dessert. I got a square of gross cake, a weird un-sweet puff pastry thing with chocolate squiggled on top, and some chocolate puddding. The pudding was pretty good with the pastry thing crumbled over it. Mmm, texture variety.

(The picture is so blurry and odd because I was being secretive about taking it.

Title: At dinner, someone said how disgusting eating something that had touched the table would be. Nick supplied the title quote. (Say hello to the bird at the top of the entry that is there thanks to the ""s in the title)

And that has been my excitement for the last 24 hours. How have you been?

I love ladybugs too…always have. Whenever I find one I put it on my rosebushes. Apparently they eat aphids.

We have this chinese buffet place here that is to DIE FOR (including the desserts). man, now i wanna eat there!

OMG THERE’S A BUG ON YOUR FACE! Oh wait, it’s just a ladybug, so that’s ok. Hehe. ;o) The dessert looks good. Doesn’t it suck when something looks good and then tastes poopy? ~jo

I always feel bad when I go to the Chinese buffet with Nick and I have 1 plate. He has like 3 and I am always sitting there all alone! 🙁

Do you put the little bird there or does it magically appear, like a ladybird on your face?
