I never really got chicken as a deli meat..

A whole bunch of little things have happened today.

Firstly, it actually tried to be a thunderstorm today. Yesterday, with the clouds I showed a picture of, we got maybe a minute of rain. Today we got a few minutes of thunder and lightning, but I’m not sure if there was rain or not. There was LOTS of wind, and that was lovely. I took advantage of the potential thunderstorm and turned off the computer. Untangled all the wires in the back, made it all neat and less… like an evil computery spiderweb back there.

I also cleaned the bathroom. Got down on my hands and knees, scrubbed the walls and the floor and everything I could think of. Got it all nice and shiny. As soon as I was done, Jake came up to tell me that Russ and his helper-guy Mike would be coming up soon to "look at the bathroom" which… I didn’t know what that meant. We had many tiles missing that had fallen off the walls, spots on the ceiling where it leaks if it rains, and if we shower (sorry… not if, when) it drips downstairs. Turns out they were coming to replace the tiles. So that’s nice, now there aren’t any gross-looking black holes on the wall, just nice pink tiles.

I realise this room looks quite gross. It’s part flash, part… just a really stained room. Remember, this is after a hard-core clean (and then 2 dirty men messing it up a bit) …clicking the pic will take you to another pic that shows which tiles were gone.

I made cookies today! I haven’t made cookies in so long, I actually felt confused and mildly overwhelmed by the cookies I chose. Oatmeal raisin choc chip. Probably good I made them now, it is Jake’s birthday in a few weeks and his birthday cookies are probably going to be a lot more confusing because they are ones I have never made before. So… yes. We have a small container of cookies all baked up and ready to eat, and a huge pile of raw cookies in the freezer. YUM.

Awesome! There was road construction going on outside just now. I kept getting up to see what was going on because it was interesting. They removed a square of road, and then were doing something else with the big electric circular saw thing that was making road-fireworks. I got distracted and next time I checked, they were filling the hole up. I wonder what they were doing. All I know is now the constant flashing light of their truck, and the very loud drill noise have gone now, so bedtime can happen.

Title is what Jake said just now. I don’t understand it either, my love.

I do not miss the rusty water that is caused by wells in CT… but I miss CT. Post more pics of its beautifulness/

Huzzah for non-holey bathroom! Cookies sound like a really good idea. Every time I go to make them, I just end up eating the dough >.<

How long does cookie dough last in the freezer? I think that it’s pretty much impossible to keep bathrooms floors, tiles and tubs looking impeccable.

Isn’t it strange when the sky can’t decide whether to thunderstorm/rain or not? XD It’s like it can’t make up its mind. I’m probably the only person on Earth who’d look at that and go, “Aw, how cute.” XD Indecisive sky. Aww. I need to de-spiderweb the computer cords behind Yoshi (our puter). GAH, it’s a mess. D: You have pink tiles in your b-room! <3 Aww, I like them, they’re pretty!

You combined my two favorite kinds of cookie into one!! You are beyond awesome. <3 mmmmm frozen cookies. We put our medjool dates in the freezer last time we had some and they were like frozen caramels, but…way better. Loooove frozen sweets. snc. *hugs* BUTT! Ubinggsss <3 And btw, road construction near you that ends before bedtime is fun to watch!

Our bathrooms here look millions or times more gross but I guess I’ve gotten used to it. Cookies Ooo and people fixing up the road Ooo!

Oooh it’s my birthday in a few weeks too! :o) Our apartment bathroom is stained in places too. It means that no matter how much I scrub, it always manages to look dirty. Really annoying! And I told you it was perfect thunder weather :oP

RYN: Thanks. I love baking, but since it’s just Duckie and me here…well, the results are always kind of bad for our diets. I didn’t even think of freezing some of dough instead of making all of the cookies.

I can scrub and scrub my bathroom and it still looks dirty, it’s just…old! Hubby is in the process of replacing our floor right now, so hopefully it’ll help it out a little bit, but our sink & toilet are the light blue ones from the 50’s.

ryn: I’m so glad you approve! I don’t necessarily “need” the approval of my peers, but it sure is pleasant and definitely reassuring when people are supportive. I’m also very glad that you think it suits me; in my silly neurotic way, I thought no one would understand, so I’m super-appreciative that you do. Thank you. 🙂
