These cheerios are cinematic!

This weekend has been so many layers of lovely!

Jake and I have pretty much spent the entire weekend playing video games. He has been playing a Zelda game on the Wii (I think it is a gamecube game though) and I’ve  been playing pokèmon on my DS. That was how almost all of Saturday was spent, and a good prtion of today. With bits of watching dvr’d Simpsons and such too.

This morning we went over to Target, which is quite a trek really. That’s what we get for living here though, everything takes time to get to. I’m still not comfortable driving, haven’t really been since the tyre blew ages ago. I have to have the music up rather loud and sing along rather loud so as to drown out all worrisome thoughts. Bugs me, but I don’t think Jake has noticed. He likes music.

So yes, Target. Not very exciting. We needed soaps of all kind. Hand, face, body… We also scored a free re-usable bag thing too, so that’s kinda cool. Got 5c off anyway because we had a bag already coz we are awesome.

On the way home, I ‘made’ Jake take lots of pictures so I could have nice outdoor photos for my daily photo. My favourite one is actually the only one I’m in, even though I’m not fond of my role too much.

I haven’t uploaded the rest of the photos yet, but when I do, it’ll almost be like a tour of our way home. Lots of greenery. And every photo taken out the front window features the same car, because this route we take… it’s rare to NOT travel the whole way with the same bunch of cars.

We have also been having amazingly tasty dinners this weekend. Last night we had nachos, but different to how we normally do it. We had picked up this adorably tiny can of chipotles in adobo (smoked jalepenos? ok!) and so a few of those were thrown into the tasty. Made the nachos SO good and sweet in an awesome non-sweet kind of way. All I know, it was so good that I had the leftovers for lunch today. I don’t really do leftovers, so that’s a pretty big deal.

And tonight we had the delicious food that I saw being made on tv the other day. Ham and cheese sandwiches, but "fancy" and "grown up" according to Sunny, the host of the show who made the foodage look so good. We had it with a roasted tomato soup that she prepared it with. MMM. It was AMAZINGLY tasty. Made the cranberry spread (cranberries, a little OJ and sugar, a bay leaf and a cinnamon stick) while roasting up the vegetables (tomatoes, bell peppers [capsicums] and garlic that were tossed in balsamic vinegar) and then I combined the stuff to make it a soup while Jake applied heat to the delicious sandwiches (one side had mustard-mayo, the other had cranberry ‘spread’, ham and cheese inside… all dunked in egg like it was french toast!) and it resulted in an amazingly tasty meal that I thought would feel like a rock in my gut but was light and awesome and just… goodness. It even LOOKED good!

See? Oh… yum. I’d post a link to the recipe but… eh, I’m lazy.

Title: My cheerios the other day tasted… not like popcorn, but kinda how the popcorn makes the air at the cinema taste. Popcornesque.

That looks delicious! I don’t like driving here in Winter since I’ve never actually had to drive in snow before.

Wow, that is one fancy ham n cheese! 🙂

Mmm… that sandwich DOES look tasty! RYN: “I love literal videos. The Billie Jean one makes me fall out of my chair every time.” *cracks up* I’d never seen that one before! OMG, the crazy lady in the apartment! *dies* “I do think deviled eggs are a perfectly good waste of hard boiled egg though.” It’s a toss-up for me… I love them both. Well, except the ‘pickle’ flavor, just hand over the ones with the bacon bits in them and no one gets hurt. *hehehe* 🙂 ~Shady

LOL AT THE TITLE. 😀 Video-game filled weekends. what more could one ask for <333 Tires blowing is something scary, isn’t it? It happened to us once when we were in the middle of nowhere. At night. And we were SO LUCKY to have a spare! We would’ve been stuck in that empty nowhere land all night! (literally empty- it was land Da was planning on buying an acre of, but decided against it…
