Sodium assists cromulence!
I’m feeling so borderline bleh today. And yesterday too, really, but mostly today. It’s a good thing I have nothing to do, because I certainly wouldn’t have done it today. I keep saying ‘cromulent’ instead of ‘crapulent’ though, and that doesn’t work. Cromulent is not such a negative word.
Last night we went out to dinner with Jake’s mother, stepfather, siblings and their partners. We went to TGI’s. I refused to touch the appetisers and the desserts, because that place always leaves me feeling crappy-stomached and I figured the less variety I had, the less likely the tummy-carp would happen. Or if it did happen, I would know exactly what to avoid next time.
I had this nummy ‘dragonfire chicken’ that totally lacked in burnination but was still pretty tasty. Coconut rice, pineapple salsa-type-thing on top… mmm tasty. And it only gave me a slight headache… like the tummy-carp but up higher. So that was good. Probably because it was a smallish portion. Or because the food seemed REAL. Plus, it was lovely to see everybody, like it pretty much always is.
I’ve been having this odd eye-twitch for… I think weeks now. Just the corner of my left eyelid does a little dance every so often. I’m not even sure if it is visible, it is shy so it hides if I make Jake look at it when it happens. Pity it happens randomly, unlike my twitching eyebrow that happens when I get confused.
Not much else to say. Ooh, that waterbottle behind me, that is Bobert-the-ficus’s water bottle. One of the guys who fixed this place up to living standards/painted/etc before we moved in left that behind, and rather than toss it I’ve been using it to water our plant. Bobert is doing pretty well, last winter he almost died but this time around he’s done pretty well. Probably because we have been home all the time rather than leaving for 6 weeks during the coldest part like we did last year. And because he is in the back room right near the …heater-machine, it gets nice and hot back there for him. I like our ficus’s name. Bobert. Amuses me. Good housewarming gift, that.
Title: On our walk this afternoon, Jake and I (well…. I. Jake was just listening to me. I ramble pretty much the entire walk, every day. It’s what I do. Probably because of the lack of interaction up until that point) decided that ‘cromulent’ is the opposite of ‘crapulent’. And my decision to have ramen (2 minute noodles) for dinner was because I felt like I needed to be salty.
“Just the corner of my left eyelid does a little dance every so often.” Isn’t that just the WEIRDEST sensation? Mine do that every once in a while… one eyelid will just have a random ‘twitchy’ day and then it won’t happen again for months. Love the self-portrait! For a moment I thought you’d ‘framed’ it but then I realized it was a mirror propped up against the wall. *chuckles at self* ~Shady

I’ve heard that eating more bananas is good for getting rid of that eye twitch.

Eye/facial twitches can some times mean you’re deficient in magnesium.

I had ramen for dinner yesterday, it had egg and twas good…barely ate it though so I gave it to J to eat as he is a slops-pig. Then he gave the rest to the puppies so it was like a present we all shared 🙂
