Absolutely monologuing to an audience of me

My favourite thing about NoJoMo last month (that seems wrong…) was that so many of my lovely friends that rarely post were participating, and so I got to feel like we were really close… close enough to hang out. Getting small details from their every day for a month? So lovely.

Do you want a christmas card?

I went digging through our suitcases today, trying to find the stash of christmas cards I got last year. I discovered 2 things. 1) I have way less awesome aussie-type christmas cards than I thought I did. 2) there was a random gift for someone that I still haven’t sent off. I love using our suitcases as stashes for holiday type things, it is so perfect because what am I going to use them for when we are not travelling? And they are not small suitcases, we got the biggest ones we could. You need giant suitcases when you are travelling across the world. Especially if you are trying to bring all your belongings from one side to the other.

I find it hard to believe that it was a year ago when we were in Australia. I went back and read those entries today, and ended up getting confused by some of my titles. They are awesome, but confusing. I really need to CLEARLY give the reason behind titles to prevent future confusion. The two that confused me were "aerodynamically worthless" and "not like the one I’m leaning on, mind you" I know the second one is a quote from SOMETHING, but I have no idea what. I do remember saying it a lot.

The other day I was telling Jenn that we do not have a bookshelf, but instead we have a giant bag of books. Clearly, this is a photo of that bag.  55 pounds of books. Yes, I weighed it. I used the Wii Fit, and created a ‘pet’ profile for it so now there is apparently a dog named ‘bag’ that can be weighed to see if it is gaining weight!! heh. I can barely lift this thing, I’m surprised it hasn’t ripped yet from me dragging it around when it gets moved.

As I was just telling Jake… this picture is rather boring. So I need to pick one of the pictures I took on our walk this afternoon, to "wash out the flavour of boring" ….it is the dessert of pictures!

This church is really close to our home. It has a loud bell that goes off every hour, but it is rarely accurate. I have no idea how ‘off’ the time is now, or in which direction. I haven’t paid attention to it in months. It used to be something weird and fun every hour.

Oh man, we finally used up all our thanksgiving leftovers! Only took 10 days to get rid of it all, but we did it. Now we just have all the leftover ingredients to use… but that’s pretty much just 2 bags of celery, an onion, 4 carrots, and some parsley. Very easy to use! tonight we had very small bits of veggies in rice that we cooked in chicken broth. Which is delicious, but I like my rice to be converted into dessert after I take what I want for dinner, so it’s not something we will be doing any time soon. Good way to use up the leftover broth though. Perfect amount of it!

My title: I often speak to myself when I’m home alone, but it is not often… out loud. Today it has been. I was teling Jake about all the odd things I said to myself today. The only one I remember is "way to breathe, no breath" which is odd because… well… I saw my breath when I said that. But that’s just one of those quotes that have penetrated my life and soul.

Scrubs is on tonight! Woo. Hope it doesn’t suck. That would be… rather sucky actually. Until then, who knows. Might just keep watching this .gif that makes me drool. Or maybe not. That seems odd. But… seriously! Ugh. Nice.

Cereal anvil! It’s what a cereal killer uses! To kill cereal!!! Oh wow, I love my Jake so much. He is so WEIRD and AWESOME and most importantly… WEIRD!! I am so glad I found someone so odd. I don’t think he would be able to cope with my level of odd if he didn’t have his own high level.
