We’re cabbaging it up!

So… today. Yes. It was a day. Did you know that? I didn’t. But then I’m rather thick sometimes. Thick as is… not too bright, not thick as in thick like cream. Cream is not nice. I do not like cream. And by not too bright I did not mean I am a lightbulb.

Did I mention that I got whacked in the head the other day? At the laundromat. I can’t check to see if I mentioned it here (I know I did in a survey but… that’s not here) because nothing is loading. So why am I writing this in the proper window with my socks to the left? Because anywhere else and it just…. words don’t happen. Not that they really happen here, but you know what I mean. Hopefully.

So yes, my head. Stood up after filling one of the bottom dryers at the laundromat and WHACKED the back of the top part of my skull on the open door above. I think it is a good thing it was also our dryer, because then no one else had to feel bad. Just me, for assuming Jake had already shut the door.

Brushing my hair last night, I told Jake my head felt tender. He thinks that means I am a cabbage head. I wish I could remember the other cabbage-related comments from last night. They obviously weren’t that great. There was just a lot of mentioning of cabbage. Which is amusing. I am glad I did not smell the cabbage today. Mondays are corned-beef-and-cabbage days at the restaurant downstairs, so I am fond of saying "I don’t like Mondays, they smell like cabbage" ….only today I did not smell it. Maybe my head really is cabbage now, and so I didn’t smell the cooking cabbage because… I was already smelling my own head?

See, now this is the sort of weird rambly writing I miss from me. I remember my old entries being this most of the time. They weren’t, but as memories the boring entries are missing and so it is only good funny random weird stuff that would sometimes use up all the characters available for an entry (back when it was WAY less than it is now)

This morning we got an electric bill. Our first. Considering we have been living here for a year and a half… yeah. Thankfully it is only a bill for 6 months. And we have to pay it to the landlord, so it is not massively urgent or the power will get shut off. And I don’t know if it is a big bill or a small one or a reasonably sized one… but it is kinda yikes. I had to grab money out of my bank account to throw in Jake’s account which is the account that can have checks written from it so we can pay it. I love my bank account. It bought our bed and our car and still has a little bit left in it… and it is all money we got as wedding presents (and possibly some housewarming too). Absolute worldly score there.

Earlier this year, on the anniversary of our moving in here actually, a guy from the electric company came to the door threatening to turn the power off, looking for someone by a name I had never heard. I sent him downstairs, he talked to Russ-The-Landlord, and when Jake came up from work I found out the guy who used to live here never told them to stop charging him for the electric. Seems they changed it to Russ’ name and now… today… after almost an hour on hold (which started out great, the first song on the hold music was Human Nature by Michael Jackson… AWESOME, even if it was the elevator version) I think it is in my name. I feel lucky that we basically got a year of free power, but still… yay another bill we have to pay now.

Dinner tonight… we are really getting down the weird scraps of leftovers. Jake had mashed potato and ham that he covered in sweet potato soup. I just had the soup. And a slice of stuffing loaf that I crisped up in the oven, alongside some slices of apple. Mmm…. apple slices all warm and yummy.

I really need to write up some lists. They are in my head, but that’s not a safe place to keep things. Especially if it is cabbage now.

I feel like this entry is so long that it needs a picture. But the only recent picture I can find on photobucket that I haven’t posted is this one…

…and I feel like this is a bit weird. There is something about it that confuses me. I think it is my belt. I am massively slouched, I do not wear my pants right up under my boobs. And I do believe there is a knife in the hand that is not holding a camera?? There was a reason this hadn’t been posted yet.

Don’t you just love the faux-brick walls? Russ was so proud of himself when he showed me that. This is our ‘back room’ that just holds a bunch of random stuff. Like loose mirrors, and weird chairs.

one of the perks of getting married is definitely the extra cash! of course, we don’t have any of ours left but it was nice when it happened! 🙂 i didn’t realize that wall was fake until you said it was. heh.

Maybe my head really is cabbage now, and so I didn’t smell the cooking cabbage because… I was already smelling my own head? You totally said what I was going to say as an explanation. Awesome

and those are faux bricks? They look real, and exactly like the ones that form Moulder Mansion… so I thought for a minute there you had stolen a bit of your house back home to keep in America.

Interesting pic!

Doooooode! We had those same faux-brick walls in our house in Marystown when I was about 5 years-old! That means it’s early-80s style. Tee hee! ~jo

I am forever standing up at work and bashing my head on cage doors above me, so I know your pain. But on the bright side, at least you get to see stars in the daytime 🙂

hehehehe rambly. Twas fun to read the ramble from a cabbage-head. But not fun that you have an ow-ey. I thought you should have been paying utilities. Oops.

Now I kind of want some cabbage rolls. By the way, that’s the picture I’m submitting to the media if you ever go off your nut and head off on some sort of spree.

I LOVE this entry. XD You write good nonsense way better than I do. Aww, poor cabbage-head Sez. *hugs and pets cabbage head* I have eaten sandwiches with cabbage in them before, so perhaps you are tasty with bread and tomatoes. Did you know in French a rough equivalent of calling someone sweetie is calling them ‘mon chou’? It means ‘my cabbage’!! So cute. Maybe the French people…

…were thinking of a Sez when they came up with that. I should let my mind write random nonsense about that, too. Baked apples are SO YUMMY omg. <3 eee!! I also would like to see more weird ramblyness from you. Tell ya what– I do my very own DeJoMo (December everyday journal writings) if you do more weirdy rambly entries. Deal? 8D

That is so freaky but so cool about the electric bill. Free power for a year, wow. XD I wonder where that previous owner is now. To this day I wonder where the previous owners of our house went- I heard to…er, somewhere up North. I think. o.O Who knows. That was years ago. ryn: *massive squishy hugs* <3 I forgot all you said in the notes but I know I’ll remember them soon. <3

I LOVE that picture you posted! I’ve never seen it before (obviously, since you just posted it now). You look gorgey, and I think the confusing part is this: the Sez was not yet aware of her magic glowing hand. She can totally make light out of nowhere. IT’SMAGIIIIIIIC. I also feel that the more we write entrees and…

exchange norts, the distance is far less and it’s like you live right down the street from me (I wish!!). <3 *end single-entree mass nort* <3 <3 <3

Ooo long entry. Cabbage! That picture is interesting. The bricks look real. You know what the picture makes me think… It’s like a picture of a picture sitting there so I keep thinking the camera is going to zoom in and there will only be you in the chair, who will then get up move forward. iuo. Like a video! A music video of the Sez. Looks cool.
