Stupidly crucial
I like to wear socks around the house. I especially like that it has gotten cold enough for me to want to wear my awesome socks all the time. They are purple and white stripes. They are fluffy. They reach to just under my knee. They are toe socks. They are perfect. I actually have 2 pairs, so when this pair dies I have a fresh pair waiting for me. Which is why I even wear these socks now, back when I only had one pair, I only wore them occasionally because they were kinda expensive ($16) and I wanted to make them last.
The best part about these socks, is they let me slide around the apartment. It’s so fun sliding around the kitchen or lounge room. The bedroom is not so fun because I often end up tripping over the sheet at the end of the bed (I do not tuck the sheets in, because I would only kick them out again trying to get comfortable that night, so why bother?). I used to slide around Ellen’s kitchen-area when I would go hang out there. That place was good slidey.
Today, I walked into the kitchen, not planning on sliding. My socks had other ideas. So I fell. And I fell as I was taking a corner, the corner that is formed by the oven being there. So I fell, and banged the right side of my ribs into the oven corner. Ow. And then I had to get up and walk around the back room, in case Jake (or someone else downstairs) had heard the MASSIVELY LOUD bang I made, and were wondering if I was ok. The back room makes very loud creaks when anyone walks there (I was actually scared of it when we first moved in, and I refused to go back there. I still don’t like it, but I go there without thinking about it so it is ok) so my walking around back there sent the sound of footsteps down to let people know I was ok. Jake tells me he heard all this and that the footsteps did what I was aiming for.
I somehow CUT myself on the oven, so I have a nice red line across my ribs now. I’m hoping for a nice bruise, but I probably won’t get one. I get bruises from little taps on things, things I don’t even remember doing, and then I get confused as to where the bruise came from. But big things… I don’t get bruised. It bugs me, because without the bruise it doesn’t look like it should hurt as much as it does, and then I feel like I wimp. So I’m hoping for a bruise.
In other news, I finally, after almost 4 years, worked out a better way to get songs on (and off!) my mp3 player. It took the computer not recognising it and my fiddling A LOT to work it out, but now that I know… mm…. useful. Now to play and put everything in the right folders. Shall be nice.
Hope you are all doing well tonight.
thats probably the most interesting entry ive read…haha. i hope the oven didn’t hurt you too much? 😛

Ouch… sounds painful! I bruise easily too, and never remember what happened. I had one recently on the top of my forearm. Who hits something with the top of their forearm? Seriously. It was huge too, it was probably between two and three inches long. I wish I could figure out my MP3 player and get it all organized!

People/women slipping over in the home because of wearing sox/pantyhose on a slippery floor are a large cause of broken bones. BE CAREFUL. Please.

I love sliding around in slick socks! I used to do it when I was little with my cousin, who later became an ice hockey player, and his parents blame it on my and my slickey socks, lol.
