A drunken circle of bacon

I can’t wait for winter. All my clothes for this weather show too much skin. I have a few light, long-sleeve shirts, but they dont fit me anymore (although… if I got rid of all the clothes that don’t fit me anymore, I would barely have enough for a week). I really just wanted to hide today. Which is why I love my hair so much, it’s a facial curtain. I wish it was winter, I could go out all rugged up in a full length coat. You know, if I had a full length coat.

Nothing much exciting going on here. I’m still waiting to hear about whether I will be allowed to stay in this country or not. They said it would take at least 14 days… it’s been more than 30. I can’t decide if that is a good or a bad thing… or just a thing. Either way, I’m sick of waiting. I just want to KNOW. I can’t call up for another month (have to wait 60 days), I can apparently check online to see the status of my application, but all it ever says is ‘in process’… so all I can do is be patient.

We made soup last night. A LOT of it. Very tasty. It has some spicyness and some garlicyness, but not too much. We needed some obvious flavours in there, as we are both feeling mildly craptangular. Yes, like a rectangle of poop. We are both getting better, but still… flavourful soup is an awesome thing to have a lot of.

Glad you’re starting to feel better! I see no reason why you SHOULDN’T be allowed to stay in the country but I’ll cross everything that there’s no problem! LOVE the ‘hair curtain’!!! great imagery!!! Hope there’s a chance for you to get a few clothes! puts one in a funk not to have them! Feel better and hope you get your answer(s) soon! *hugs* 🙂

I actually bought my first “winter coat” last year. In Georgia, a light jacket could get you through the entire winter. Here in Wisconsin, I’m already wearing my winter coat and snow boots by the middle of November!

I’m glad you are looking after your rectangular poopiness by making soup. Sounds like good recovery food. I have a knee length coat which wouldn’t fit on one leg now. I should have got it out when you were over to see if you would like it / fit into it.
