A good fraction of delicious

I love muskettes. Delicious little pink candy droplets. Mmm. So glad I bought 4 packets back from my trip home, this one has only been open about 10 minutes and I think it is half gone. Yum. I love musk candies. Jake likes them too, at least I think he does, he has a few whenever I’m eating some. He used to think they smelled like cologne and couldn’t understand how they could be delicious, but he’s good. He also likes vegemite. I love that he’s not afraid to try stuff.

We made enchiladas for dinner. It was mostly an experiment because I didn’t want to use a packet (they taste really bad, all the ones we’ve tried anyway) so we were guessing with seasonings and how to make the sauce and such. It was deliciously awesome. Jake is very smart and talented and makes good yummies.

Not much doing lately. Trying to keep up to date on the terrible fires in my home state. Worst in Australian history. Last count was 173 dead. So far everyone I know is safe, and hopefully it stays that way.

Scary stuff going on back on Oz. *sigh* I can say for sure I’ve never had muskettes. I have a feeling I wouldn’t be a fan. But who knows, eh?~jo

I tried vegemite, my Australian teacher said it was like peanut butter…I disagree. When you said muskettes I thought you meant like the old big guns, muskets! I was like “hmm..she has a thing for heavy artillery…”

Our end of the fires are contained although they haven’t announced that officially. We had a CFA dude come to speak at school. The huge fire breaks are keeping the fire in the fire region. There is still a lot of unburnt fuel there and they don’t have the manpower to put the fires out so they are just controlling the intensity and keeping them inside the containment lines. It’s a lot less scar

…y now that the weather is mild and the winds are south westerly. The fires in the far north of the state and to the east are still bad but not as intense or fast moving as on the weekend. If only it would rain…..

LOL at the note comparing vegemite to pb! The fires are very scary, as are the floods up north. Sydney is drowning after something like 2 weeks of heavy rain every day. So hard to keep track of weather in oz. I’m going to stop reading for a while now. You mentioned musk. I am now at breaking point and must stop or I will crack
