Ignorant burger monster

Today we all  (Mum, Dad, Jake, Natey and I) headed to the city of Melbourne to go on the Southern Star.

I got woken up by headbutts from a Headbutt (heh, I just spent 5 minutes playing with him with a monkey toy with a giant tail. Awesomely amusing) at 10:30, which is prefect timing for a bit of kitty pattages and then some 11am Mark Harmon. Which I didn’t get to see all of, because I had to get ready to leave (and get the stinky smoke from last night’s dinner out of my hair) but the good thing is that Natey has 4 seasons of NCIS on dvd now, so we caught up this evening.

Once Natey was home from work, we headed to the train station which took us to the city. Then there was the fun of walking from Southern Cross station to the Southern Cross wheel. Only about 20 minutes but still. Walking. Many stairs. All of which Natey and I raced on. It’s fun going places with him. Even the train rides were fun because we had each other to be silly with. Amusement is brother.

The actual ride thing (although they called it a flight…) was very useful as it was huge so we could just follow it in the distance. There was a mild line, but then you can look around at the huge sections they have set up for what the lines could be… and really it was as if there was noone there. Which was good as the little pods were getting only half filled. The wheel never stopped, was just rather slow so we had to get on as it was moving. We got to go "oooh, buildings" and pose like weirdos for the group shot while the thing was on top (the pod behind us had a camera on it’s butt, that’s what we had to pose at). Entertainment.

Lunch afterwards was Nando’s, and then dinner 3 hours later (at least for us kids) was KFC. 2 chicken meals in a day. And this was us trying to prevent spaghetti meals. (which makes no sense although if you think Simpsons you may get it). Could’ve been worse, we could’ve got burgers. We got a bucket though, because we are awesome, and it actually came in a bucket again! And while they were packing it, the girls serving us were talking about how "it’s best to actually use a bucket if you can, some people get upset if you don’t" which amused us all. Especially as after getting a bucket that one time, we were perfectly happy not to ever experience it again.

title: There is a restaurant place called Burger Monster. Outside the one next to the southern star, there was someone in a burger costume with a giant eye. Cyclops Burger. Natey went up, was going to ask for a picture with it, but it turned away. So we go a picture of Natey posing and burger being ignory. Which you can see on Sunday (or more probably… monday)

I read this whole entry without clicking on the Southern Star link, so I had no idea what you were talking about and I was confused and thinking, “What the hell?” the whole time. Now I’ve clicked the link and it all makes sense! Tee hee! Did Jake go? The story sounds like just you and Natey who went, but you did say you all went to Melbourne. Hrmm…I totally have to go to Melbourne someday now, just for this! It’s so awesome that you have such a cool brother that you can get along with so much. You’re a lucky gal. But I think you know that. :o)~jo

The Burger Monster had lots of photos taken with people while Peter and I ate our monster burgers (mmmm so yummy). Maybe he didn’t hear Michael speak. Or see the intention of a photo.

HOOOOLY SHAREEEF!!! Southern Star looks BEAUTIFUL. I can’t wait for Sez photos when she gets back. Is it like an amusement park type place? ’cause I see a Ferris wheel. I hope Sez had awesome fun there. Yay!
