Turkey three weeks early

Today was so lovely. And awesome. And delicious.

We had such an awesome trip to the mall, where we were meeting Nick and Stacy. No traffic, no red lights except for the one RIGHT at the mall. Same thing happened last week when we went for my birthday. So that was cool. We got there right on time too, but they were still a few minutes away. Once they arrived, we jumped in the car and we headed up to Matt and Lisa’s place in New London. Where we arrived on the dot of midday. Well, maybe not on the dot, but the country station was still playing the national anthem, and that happens at midday.

Kristen was there with her boyfriend Matt, who we met for the first time today. We all sat around, went around the circle first listing what candy we wanted and what presents we wante for christmas, and then we had to talk about what was ‘new’ with us. I was so boring, at my turn people started asking me about what’s on tv lately.

At about 3:30 it was finally ‘dinner’ time …or breakfast for me really. I meant to eat before we left, but I wasn’t hungry and would’ve been sick if I tried to force it. So I was hungry, which was awesome because there was turkey and awesome stuffing AND ham and pineapple and mashed sweet potatoes… and other stuff but that’s what I ate. MAN it was so good. The ham was a surprise so that was even awesomer. We have a huge thing of turkey and stuffing and little bits of other things in the fridge, probably dinner for the next 2 nights. Or 1, if we are greedy.

And then, a massive game of poker began. I would’ve gotten bored of it within 5 minutes, so I didn’t play, and was bored of it from the start. I did learn that I can access facebook on my phone though. Exciting. I wish I could do stuff on OD with my phone, but I know I can’t. Bah. I could’ve written a boring little entry!

The game paused for dessert, which was my slightly-crusty-and-ugly white chocolate mud cake, and Stacy’s massive-and-attractive-looking carrot cake. Both were sooo good though. The carrot cake was INSANELY sweet though. I struggled to finish my MASSIVE slice of it. I did, but then I couldn’t eat the half that was left of my MASSIVE slice of mud cake because it just tasted… plain. Sugarless. Even though it wasn’t. We brought a slice home for each of us, so mmm. Cake. But seriously, sugar coma.

As it was also a joint birthday thing for myself and Nick, we had to blow out candles. It was initially going to be 2 seperate singings-and-candle-blowings, but we fixed that. Instead, we blew out candles at the same time, that were all on a pumpkin pie. Hopefully I get pictures from Matt soon. It would be so great if he could get pictures to me, or put them on a cd for Lisa to give to me on Tuesday….

More poker happened until 7:30 when there was only 2 left, and everyone almost yelling at them to just go all in and end the madness. So then we left. And now we are home. And I have groovy music in my head, because of the awesome cd of good awake-ful car music I had playing.

I’m thirsty. And I love thanksgiving dinner. Freakin awesome, man.

OH! I almost forgot! For some reason we were talking about feet, and my toes were mentioned. Nick didn’t believe that I had toes as long as I do, and then later on when I had taken off my shoes and socks, I ‘had’ to put my foot on the table and move my toes to show everyone. Being, the people I hadn’t lived with before. At least they all said how ‘awesome’ it was, rather than ‘weird’ or ‘creepy’ or ‘gross’ or anything like that. Woo, I have awesome feet. 🙂

Oh! Extra goodies. I got money today as my birthday present, because I asked for Sims 2 things and they couldn’t find them in store. So I just ordered a whole bunch of stuff (5 stuff packs, 1 expansion pack) for 6 cents less than I was given, and it had free shipping coz the order was big. So that was wootie! Yay, presents. I like when presents come to my door. 🙂

I some times wished we celebrated holidays to the extent that America does… But alas, we’re just boring.

See – we normally have ham and turkey too – Ham with these delicious pineapple rings on it – and not too many people like it like I do – but I live for those salty sweet sticky pineapples 🙂 ~L
