Dam building hamsters of the deep

This morning I woke up at 11:30, rather confused as to why we hadn’t gone out yet. The way I was told, I was under the impression that we would be out and doing things by 10am or such. And noone was home (cept for jake) so that just made me feel like they had forgotten us or something.

That wasn’t the case though, Matt and Lisa came home at about midday and told us we’re leaving now to go meet Kristen at Walmart. So I had fun, sleepily trying to get dressed quickly.

At Walmart there was a cool tv, but they had none in stock. How hard is it to put up a sign saying ‘unavailable’ or something? I got Natey’s birthday present, so that’s goodness. I found it really easily, so that made me happy.

Then we headed over to Costco, they only had giant flat screen tvs, and I didn’t want giant OR flat screen. Coz the place where our tv lives, it sits on a weird thing and we use the shelves beneath it and its not very sturdy so it needed a nice big butt.

We did find delicious coveted Naked Juice though, in big bottles. And so now we have some living in our fridge. Mmm… I miss that stuff. It’s so thick and fruity. And Jake got some gum and oatmeal… woo score.

The tooth fairy comes when you put a tooth under your pillow… what comes when there is oatmeal packets under the bed?

After walking incredibly slowly up and down all the aisles (We were speeding past all the aisles, and Kristen kept going "is what i’m looking for down there…?" and so I commented that maybe we should walk the aisles to find stuff, seeing as none of the aisles were labelled (which would be a great idea, even more useful that supermarkets, coz that place is HUGE!) and so then I think Lisa got pissed off that I suggested such a thing so we had to walk really slowly through the rest. Eh.

We headed over to Kmart afterwards, to get the tv we spotted on Friday. It has a dvd player as part of it, and that’s pretty cool. Nick and Stacy are over right now, playing poker and they brought pizza. Nick was lovely and carried the tv up here, and then helped us find the cable thing that would let us get channels (Kristen and Matt barged in earlier (after knocking…but still) and took the tv away… I wanted to do it myself so that I would know stuff like that there was an extra cable!!) and then made it so the tv recognised the cable channels… and all is good. What a smart useful brother in law that one be.

After all that… being around people all day. And pushy people at that… Well I’m feeling very antisocial. Jake is good, I very rarely want him to just go away (and when I do, its coz he’s making noise in the morning and I’m trying to sleep) but other people can just… not be here please.

I tried to make my title be "I tried to eat your face, but my mouth wasn’t big enough!" but even with editing the words so they were stupid-looking (enuf, ur… etc) I still couldn’t get it to fit. Which made me sad, coz that would make a way better title than what is there right now. That’s about beavers apparently. I think it was a Craig-quote. I love that show. Late night funnies are the best funnies.

I wannt watch last night’s feasting on asphalt but the tv out there is being used as random noise. So that’s a no. I also wanna go mad-clean, but I’m too exhausted to more a lot. My mind wants to clean. That would be so cool.

And I wanna eat, just coz I feel like eating, but I’m still full from lunch. Ooo! That’s something I didn’t mention. We went to Applebee’s for lunch, and I got a ‘zesty something chicken sandwich’ which always amuses me coz its a burger! It was pretty good, rather spicy-ness-ish from a giant pile of bbq sauce (it was dripping like mad… looked like it was bleeding almost lol) but it was good. I only ate half of it… yet I am still full from it 6 hours later. And I had a strawberry lemonade, which was sooo very good. That’s my drink of choice from places like that. And if I order before Matt and/or Kristen, they will order the same drink as me. Always amuses me.

There were these adorable twins… little babies at the store today though. Highly cute. Oooh and it seems it is a feasting on asphalt marathon… mebbe the one from the other night will be on again? squee if it is.
