pineapple with a hint of ham

Today has been a fabulously lazy day. Truly fabulous. I woke up earlier than Jake. Yes, EARLIER. Of course as soon as I went to get out of bed he woke up, but still. And all this happened at  about 1:30. So that was most of the day gone. 😀

We spent the afternoon taking turns on the puter, doing survey after survey, and also sudoku-ing.

Dinner ended up being Lean Cuisine, which I have to remember are NOT very good here. At home, they are a full sized meal and they can be quite very tasty, they taste like real food. Here, not so much. The size is puny, and I still couldn’t eat it all because it had this ever-nasty aftertaste that no amount of OJ could get rid of. But I had put pineapple in it, so that made it yummy.

Lisa came home with a ham and some veggies that Cookin Momma had made for our Easter dinner tomorrow. The ham had been cooked with pineapple pieces, so they had this slight hammy taste to them. So good. Made my dinner edible.

This evening we watched Cast Away. And at the end of the movie, I walked away for a few minutes and TADA it had started again. I don’t like when channels do that, except when I missed the first bit. I didn’t miss the first bit today, we caught it as it was doing the Dreamworks bit and then it was a view of a road and I went to Jake "is this castaway?" and then I was all GO ME when I found out it was.

I am the Sezinator, and this is an entry.

*edit* WOO. Jake and I now have a $10 a month each to save up to splurge on cool things. Not that it will prevent us if we want to spend more, but I wanted a sock budget so I can freely spend a set amount every so often, and so he gets a fun budget too. Budget is probably the wrong word, but not the point.

The point is, I also ‘convinced’ him that I should spend $20 on socks. Heh. So I got these and these and these! And if the lime sushi socks come before I send off Jenn’s bday present (still waiting on an address to send it all to) then she gets the green ones I originally wanted to send her, and I get the pink.

woo socks!
