Beach Pictures! *edit*

Dear Diary,

So, to Prosebox or not to Prosebox….. that seems to be the question.  I’m cautiously optimistic that this place will somehow stay afloat.  If not, I’ll be going down with this ship. If it sinks there’s a good chance I’ll swim over to Prosebox but for now I’m staying put…  Next question… to back up or not to back up.  My life and those in it are heavily documented in scrapbooks.  Maybe that’s enough….

*edit* So, in several entries I read today diarists mentioned simply securing their same diary name over at prosebox.  I thought about it and decided that was a good idea.  So I have a "scrpbookr, dear diary" reserved over there.  I’m not sold on cross posting yet though.  *end edit*

Moving on…. The Beach!

Last weekend was a four day shore weekend.  Friday we went to the pool, Saturday we were at Rehoboth Beach for their 35th annual sand castle contest, Sunday we were back at the pool and Monday we spent the day at Cape Henlopen’s beach before returning home.  Really nice time!

These are from the sandcastle contest.  At 6 Reagan is still in an age group where he doesn’t really compete.  The kids competitive age group is 7 – 14.  He came up with our idea this year.  We’ve made similar things on other beach days this year and last….

Midday we took a stroll on the boardwalk.  Reagan picked out this cute piggie that walk, oinks and wiggles it’s snout…..

I liked this next one, too.  This was a kids entry in the 7-14 category. I think they did a nice job…

Every once in awhile when I’m taking a picture of Reagan he tells me what to write next to it once it makes its way into the scrapbook.  His suggestion for this one was, "Worn out after a day at the beach."  Makes me smile!

We stayed for the castle judging.  Reagan got an event t-shirt, too…

We usually attend the Neptune Festival and see the sand sculptures there the end of September each year, too.  This year the cruise takes place at the same time as that event so I’m missing it.  These castles will have to hold me over until next year…..

Over the weekend I did take some pictures of the Artist Trading Card silliness I’m wrapped up in.  Tonight is the August meeting.  The theme is French Country.  I figure at this point I should go to the meeting, take pictures of the new swaps and then do a share here.  Maybe tomorrow…..

In the evenings, at the beach camper I did a bit of paper crafting.  A bit on the ATCs but mostly cards.  Here’s my little set up at the beach camper table….
