Campalicious! *pics*
Dear Diary,
We ended up trying the new (to us) campground resort that I mentioned last week. It was a really nice, well maintained place!
The name… Spring Gulch. It is in New Holland, PA for those of you who visit this area from time to time.
Since we had just set up camp two weeks before we were old pros this time. We were set up in no time. We then enjoyed a quick game of homemade mini golf in our site. Reagan had just picked out a little golf set that we used….
We were creating and naming holes for eachother to try. Reagan made this one and named in The Bicycle…
We had a nice, big, secluded site…. Like two weeks before we set up a playroom tent for Reagan and then our main tent for sleeping / changing. It wasn’t meant to look like a train wreck but does. *grins*
Reagan is pretty into the Lego Hero Factory build your own action figure type toys. Here is the latest…
Our neighbors (mom and son) decided not to stay over and tent camp but we still invited them to come and be our guest for the afternoon at the campground. We were waiting for them to arrive when a passing shower occurred. I opened up the beach umbrella over the table and we played a round of Uno while waiting….
At the last moment, before leaving home, I cut a vase full of peonies to bring along. There’s no reason not to make camping pretty!
UNO!
The neighbors arrived shortly and we headed to the pool!
Relaxing in the pool!
Relaxing BY the pool….
Double flotation!
This is practically triple flotation…. the shark is actually a squirting toy but it does float….
peek!
This is a cute one of the neighbors…
Our spot along side the pool…
This cracks me up!
Lots of fun jumping in!
The neighbor brought a couple of cute floats that make for cute pictures!
It was tough to pull the boys from the pool but we move on to fishing after a quick bite to eat….
There were a lot of minnow type fish swimming around but we didn’t have any luck at this pond with anything bigger….
Without catching fishing only lasts so long. We moved on from the fishing pond over to the swimming pond….

They waded out to a cute little island out in the pond….
After a bit more swim time we returned to our campsite. I heard a strange air type whooshing noise that I couldn’t quite place. It turned out to be a hot air balloon launching near by. We caught a glimpse of it through the trees…
I got to take my camp fire building skills for a spin!
This was a first camp fire and first fishing experience for the little boy next door. Camping, too but he didn’t technically stay over so I’m not sure it qualifies….
Two weeks ago I came up with a good smore idea. Rather than buying grahams and chocolate I just bought these Keebler cookies and we paired them with the roasted marshmellows….
First smore for Cole!
We ended the night with a bike ride and then showers. By that point it was bedtime. We had a good nights sleep. In the morning I couldn’t resist taking a pic of my sweet sleeping boy! When Reagan saw this he said, "Hey! No fair…. you take pictures of me when I’m sleeping?!!" It’s all part of being a Mama-razzi!
The morning view out of the tent….
Good Morning, Sunshine! Reagan stayed in the tent to watch the sunrise over the trees before coming out……
You might remember me mentioning about being excited for Reagan to sail the wooden sailboat that Keith’s Dad gave him a couple of years ago. Later in the morning we headed to the creek and the swim pond with it. We passed the playground on the way….
Along side the creek….
This one turned out cute!
And over by the pond…
It stayed upright really nicely and sailed well.
A sailing break…
Heading back out….
When the breeze caught the sail it moved along almost faster than Reagan could keep up with….
A panoramic of the swim pond area….
I like this picture, too. He played in the creek a bit more…

We tried sailing the boat there, too but it wasn’t really deep enough….
It’s hard to pass a nice playground withouth pausing for a climb!
On this end of the camping resort there is a second pool…..
Next up! Mini golf! The course….
Rules!
Here we go!
We had a good time…
We spent the rest of the morning, maybe 10 to 1 at the pool….
There was a passing shower around 1. We decided to head out to try to find a place to have a better fishing experience. We had packed up camp in the morning before we sailed the boat and mini golfed so we were all set to just head out.
This has gotten long and OD is cutting the entry off. I’ll pick up in the next entries with fishing, the hiking field trip and then the last day of school’s field day. Hopefully I can get to that before we leave for the shore tomorrow evening. Also, if interested, I posted another picture entry just prior to this one today, too.
Happy Wednesday!
I love creeks!!!
