Donuts with Dads, Pages and a video

Dear Diary,

I’m going to squueze in another quick entry today before the weekend.  You’ll remember that at the beginning of the week I shared the Kindergarten’s Mother’s Day Celebration.  When Father’s Day comes school will be out so today Kindergarten hosted Donuts for Dads this morning.  For the first half hour as school started the kids and their dads had donuts and beverages while looking over some of the Kindergartner’s projects.  Dads were on their way within a half hour.  It wasn’t for moms but I popped in for a pic.  I always have that need to capture the moment in a way that can be tucked into his scrapbook.

Here are Daddy and Reagan this morning.  Most of the time it feels like Reagan is getting so big but he still looks little next to Daddy here…

Last night Reagan and I left school together at 5.  He had a good time in the After School Program yesterday.  Keith is usually able to pick him up as school releases so he doesn’t get to stay after often.  We made a quick trip to the library in our neighborhood before heading home.  Reagan was famished!  He doesn’t usually get like that….. growth spurt maybe?  Or maybe all that play after school made him hungry.  I held him over with a bowl of cottage cheese while I made grilled cheese sandwiches for us.  We followed it all with strawberry shortcake (the first of the season. yum!)  We worked together, with my list, to prepare for camping and then after all of that I had a bit of time to scrap before shower and bedtime.

I scrapped the pics from the Kindergarten Art Show on Monday…

And his recent farm field trip…. Did I talk about this?  They hatched chicks in class in the beginning of the year and then they went to another faculty members farm.  They went to visit the farm where they now live. This faculty member is also one of  their PE teachers.

Some artwork and then playground pics from Monday….

Yesterday the class picture was sent home.  I had proofs of their yearbook pics, too.  I used the two on this spread….

It would be nice to get another handful of layouts again tonight.  I should get the picnic with Seniors pictures printed as well as the Donuts with Dad pic.

One last thing I want to share is a video that a ninth grader at our school made of advice from the Kindergartners to the Seniors as the go away to college.  It’s cute.  Reagan wraps the video up… its about a minute long I think.

Right after I finish work today Keith, Reagan and I are touring a possible summer day camp for Reagan. *crosses fingers that it is a fit for us!*

And then on to the weekend!

Happy Friday!

Gorgeous, handsome students. Love the advice they gave the seniors…so timely.

I wish Colin’s school would do something that “Donuts with Dad”..that would be sweet. Jason’s old school did that as a part of good grades…it was something like “Honors Breakfast”…but nothing like that so far with Colin’s schoo..oh and RYC:..ME TOO! LOL

you always manage to get so much into a day!!

We never had anything for dads when I was in school, but I am glad for that because there were a lot of us in our small town without dads around. I’m not sure how that would have been handled. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Reagan’s voice before. The video was very cute! 🙂

Cute pics

That video is so cute! Before you know it, Reagan will be the senior getting advice! I’ve never heard the expression ‘don’t call out’ and don’t even know what it means. Speak out of turn?
