Just a few things… *pics*

Dear Diary,

Most of the week is consumed with work and school but I did squeeze in a bit of scrapbooking yesterday evening. I hope to do another handful of layouts tonight.

Here is a beach layout that I made with the pictures from this past sunday….

And a bicycle layout with the recent pictures of Reagan and the neighbor boy on their bikes….

I did a couple mini golf layouts from our visit last Saturday.  I still have another spread or two of picture to do yet….

I must have been tired last night…. The place is actually called Fire Mountain…. eh!

The Kindergartners and Seniors formed a relationship on the first day of school this year when they walked into school hand-in-hand between a corridor formed by the rest of the school community.  (video here https://vimeo.com/48113341 ) They did a parade through the school on Halloween.  They were teamed up during spirit week / color wars where they made tie-dyed shirts and declared color peace in the school.  And today the Kindergartners had a picnic lunch with their Seniors to bookend the school year.  Seniors graduate this Saturday.  From a distance I took some photos in order to store the memory forever in Reagan’s Kindergarten scrapbook.

Here the Kindergartners are coming out of thier classes to the picnic area.  That’s Reagan at the bottom of the stairs in maroon and khaki….

This is Darren one of Reagan’s seniors.  He walked in with one other on the first day but I believe he is at District Finals for tennis today.  That’s Reagan just in front of him….

Picnicing…..

We have 50 Seniors this year and 28 Kindergartners….

Three of the Kindergarten teachers. Behind, to the right is a sub.  She also happens to be a Kindergarten mom.  One of the teachers is out today because her grandson is graduating…..

While out on the playground I took a couple of garden pictures.  This one along the fence is a rainbow garden that either PS or Junior Kindergarten plants.

Kindergarten planted seeds in one of the raised beds.  It’s a native american garden….. three sisters, I think…. corn and two other plants??

I’ve planned a somewhat last minute camping trip for this weekend.  Reagan was expressing an interest in going and I’m usually game this time of year.  I did some packing for it this morning and I have a short list of other items to be sure to bring.  We’re camping at a lake less than an hour away.  They have a nice swim beach so I’m looking forward to a couple of beach days.  I’m trying to keep it simple with a two man tent and easy meals.  We’ll build a couple of camp fires.  I have books and games packed.  I should probably bring the fishing stuff, too.

I want to dedicate a block of time to scrapping, too.  I’m still trying to finish up the California Adventure books.  But this weekend we’ll camp.  The scrap will be there when I get to it…. along with more pictures from camping.  Oh, that reminds me…. there’s a scrapbooking store near the lake!

Okay, moving on…

Happy Thursday!
