Today

it’s another cold / damp / blowhard day outside / spring is still nowhere to be seen / just more grey…

inside / things are ok / there are some hopeful signs / annie and i talk a lot / we are determined to climb back on top / there was lightning and thunder in the dark…

last night annie had dinner with her sister cindy / girls night out for sushi / it is true that misery loves company / ok / misery is a bit strong but it seems as if the whole world is struggling…

cindy and her husband are having bumps as well / her hubby mike is undergoing chemo / cindy is not getting what she needs / she needs to be listened to and understood / catered to / mike is struggling physically and psychologically / since when is life fair? / annie is worried…

annie’s niece meghan has just split up with her husband dan / he is apparently too gentle with her / won’t “reign her in” which is something she needs (and seems to be genetically epidemic in the females in annie’s side of the family) / dan adores meghan and their precious 2 year old gracie / but it seems he is not doing the right things / giving her what she needs / he’s screwed…

need / when did it get so damn complicated? / i can’t clearly decide what i need that could be filled let alone know what annie needs / sometimes i think i know what to do / she says to just do anything / there is no right and wrong or if there is it doesn’t matter / it’s the effort / if that’s the case / why is dan so screwed??

my dear departed grandfather (whom i hear in my head constantly giving me unsolicited advice about women and annie in particular / and whose advice i constantly reject as horrible and chauvinistic in spite of the fact that he was renowned for his “success” with the fair sex) tells me to please please just shut up / pull down her pants / spank her ass until it is hot pink / then love her up until she is weak in the knees / i’m so screwed…
