New car, new place…possible short hiatus!!
Good evening everyone. It’s been a minute or 3 since I have written. So much good things have been going on and I didn’t want to write about it and end up jinxing it. But first an update on Owen, and of course, Riley.
The last I wrote, I said that Owen was sick. I can’t remember right off the top of my head whether I mentioned that Pat and I took him to the ER on the 26th, but we did. We spent an hour and a half there for them to say “Yeah, he’s sick. Good bye.” I was so angry. The boy didn’t sleep a wink that night. Neither did Pat and I. The only way Owen would stop crying was when he was sitting in his swing. He did manage to go to sleep at like 2 in the morning until 4 that morning. Pat and I slept then too. He woke up, we gave him a bottle, then he started crying again. We put him in bath to calm him down and wash him up due to the spit up. He went back into the swing and fell asleep and woke up around 7:30 the next morning. That whole weekend was a nightmare. We ended up going to Wal Mart to get another one of the boogie squeezer things to help clean up his nose and some baby Orajel. He’s so much better now. After all was said and done, his bottom tooth came in and the one right next to it has either popped out too or on the verge. So now both my kids have teeth.
Riley is doing wonderful. Still her smiley self. She loves to sit up. She’ll sit up without help all the time. She can’t get herself up though without someone setting her up first. She wants nothing to do with the rolling over business…yet. Owen on the other hand, LOVES to role all over the floor. He’ll fling him self from his back to his tummy and from his tummy to his back. Today he tried crawling by just using his arms. He didn’t get anywhere so he went back to rolling. Everyday is a step closer to mobility. It scares the hell out of me. Other than that, they are doing wonderful. I have to take Owen in the doctor tomorrow to do a follow up from the hospital visit. Should be interesting to hear what they have to say.
WELL I have so amazing news and some ‘glad to hear someone is willing to help me out’ news. The amazing news is as follows:
About the car…we bought it from Joseph Neri…a dealership where they guarantee you to drive by 5 no matter that credit. Well we don’t have to car yet, we’re waiting for Friday when our taxes come in. Anyways, we bought a black 2004 GMC Envoy. A HUGE upgrade compared to my little white 1995 Saturn SL1. We are paying $390 a month…which is in our spending limit. We are putting $3,000 cash down plus they’re using the trade in value of my car which is $1,000. So we basically are putting $4,000 down on a $17,000 truck. The only downfall to the whole situation is the interest rate. We are getting bum fucked with it. The rate is 24.9%. The loan is for 72 months and if we go the whole 72 months we will be paying over $30,000 on a $17,000 truck. The sooner we pay it off the better. The only reason the interest rate is so bad is because of the foreclosure. But we had to go with these guys because they are the only people willing to give us a car without a co-signer and all that shit. I am so excited. Friday can’t get here fast enough.
Secondly, Pat and I got an apartment and this time it isn’t going to be taken away from us. We put a down payment to hold it this past weekend. We pay the rest off on Friday and the earliest we can move in is on Wednesday of next week. It’s not what we wanted, but seeing we have the new truck, I am happy we got this one. Everything is included minus electric. For rent we’ll be paying $685. It’s a split level, 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a balcony. It’s kind of the same style as Pat’s mom’s, the only difference is that ours isn’t all open. The kitchen is separated by a wall which has a picture window so we can see into the living room. Then you have the living room, you go up our 6 steps and to the right is the bathroom, straight ahead is the babies room, and to the left is our room with the sliding glass door leading out to the balcony. I am so excited. We went shopping this past weekend for stuff. I got my glass blue dishes. We got glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, all the bathroom stuff, pot holders, towels, wash cloths, and a new TINKER BELL calendar for me. This weekend we’ll be getting the appliances, the pots and pans, sharp knifes, curtains, and rods. We have to measure the windows so we can get the correct sizes. The only downfall to it…again another downfall, just like the truck…WE ARE RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO HIS MOTHER!! WE SHARE A WALL. OUR LIVING ROOM WALL IS HER LIVING ROOM WALL. OUR PARKING SPOT IS RIGHT NEXT TO HERS!! Oh well, I guess I can’t bitch…we’ll finally be a family!!
Now for the ‘glad to hear someone is willing to help me out’ news. I got a call from a lady at the Cancer Center willing to help pay for my colposcopy. I go to the doctor on the 11th to have it done. Finally I can get some piece of mind and the doctor will stopping breathing down my neck.
Well seeing that I will be moving here in the next few days and all the crazy business, I am more than likely going to be going on Hiatus until we get internet. I’ll miss you all…and I’ll TRY to update before the move. If I don’t, Happy Valentines Day everyone and I’ll be back soon. Love you all.
Until next time…toodles.
♥ Amanda
